So I was originally just an online gambler following friends and family from poker to slots and roulette etc.. things got out of hand for me but thankfully the first bandit video I watched mentioned GameStop which saved my life I can tell you that. I still struggle day to day with part of me which wants to gamble but I find myself now going to small arcade rooms which are popping up everywhere.
My question to everyone is, when you find yourself self excluded from online and still drawn to arcade rooms and fobts, how do you live day to day without losing it all? I go from payday to payday losing money at different arcades and then banning myself but then I find another one somewhere and the pattern repeats itself.
Anyone here who’s problem goes far beyond online gambling? Please reach out and discuss
This is exactly what happened to me. I signed up to gamstop November last year for 6 months thinking that’s it I’ll be fine and I’ve done the right thing and my problems are solved. How wrong i was. It wasn’t so much the fobts but the arcades. I had about 4 sessions where i lost best part of £800 each time. In may my gamstop expired so i went back online and re signed back to gamstop a week later. Beginning of June i had my last session in an arcade. I lost £700 in just over an hour and thought you know what that’s it I’m done with them. I haven’t played a slot fobt or had a bet since that day. It’s not been easy but you can do it. Leave your bank cards at home. Carry just the cash you need. Try and find new hobbies to fill your time. You’ll see the benefit in no time. Good luck.
It is on A list of things we want for BIAM but atm mr mint is busy with another project. Hopefully he will be free soon.
Busy checking out the latest trebor release? ?

You decided to gamble. The casino didn’t make you. They may have influenced you, of course, but you could make that argument for any product or service. Given that gambling as a product, for the vast majority, is seen as a casual hobbie, and not a problem, I don’t think complaining because of retrospective responsibility is the right thing to do.
As usual there is much i agree within your posts but this short story doesn’t put responsible gambling on the casinos side in a good light. Last week the missus who is also on gamstop still constantly receives offers via email from 21.co.uk ladbrokes and galacasino.com received a phone call from galacasino.com offering a £100 bonus for a £10 deposit. Not been bothered to mention gamstop she just said she wasn’t interested and was then badgered into more questions as to why not and it’s a great offer. I see you haven’t played recently till eventually she hung up. I was fuming so rang them and spoke to someone in Gibraltar and the very next day she received a booklet in the post offering a £70 bonus. Player protection is still not happening mate. I agree people should always take responsibility for their actions but when they have taken the necessary steps to stop they shouldn’t then be bombarded with constant offers trying to entice a problem gambler to lapse.
You beat me to it seedy
hahah seriously though I just couldn’t decide if the guy was just being a troll i just had to watch the draws on the video and indeed he did get drawn lol. So my above advice stands if all is fine then bandit will email and send you the money.
I know mate you’d think people would be happy to win something in the first place.
1I’d imagine there are plenty of people can relate to this. I think no matter what we do we always want more. I’ve been paid weekly all my life and hated the thought of been paid monthly for exactly this kind of post. It’s tough out there for many of us to get by but at least you do pay what needs to be paid before you have a dabble with the rest. If you have £90 spare on average per week would it be worth setting a deposit limit on video slots of £20 a week and self excluding from the bookies. Sounds like you know full well how shit fobts are and they are a waste of time or if you want a complete ban it’s self exclusion and gamstop. Good luck whichever you decide.
Get in there ?. About time we had a winning post. That’s a fantastic hit. Congrats
Was much appreciated mate lol I just put my bet on but I need a kip lol had 4 hours sleep before driving back. Hopefully get to have a actual brew with you at some point aswell and we can return the favour. ??
