I should rightly add…. Some of you streamers, are indeed as qualified as your audience.

I spoke with Tom today. An enlightening conversation, both ways but nothing can happen immediately due to certain reasons. However it looks like it is just a matter of time for some UKGC changes and then a fresh new look at the whole thing following that.

What is very apparent is that those speaking out, are being heard.

Chip tried to scam us using Lord Ping and other casinos that don’t allow affiliates to deposit their own funds. Pretty damning evidence. Chip pushes other bullshit casinos with bad terms for new players – we all know Chip doesn’t give a fuck about anyone other than himself

I hope these guys (Chip, bob, angry, spinitin, Rosh, etc) get arrested for their fraud and made examples of. Shocking these scumbags are allowed to get away with what they’re doing. If it was any other product (makeup, clothing, bottled water, fragrance, digital goods, etc) even a fleeting reference to that product in a YouTube video MUST be accompanied by clear markings the content is a paid for advertisement. Tom Scott made a good video wrt UK laws and advertising on YouTube, Twitch and other social media:

    <iframe title=”YouTubers have to declare ads. Why doesn’t anyone else?” src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/L-x8DYTOv7w?feature=oembed&#8221; width=”640″ height=”360″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen=””></iframe>

Funny how these casino streamers don’t have to give the same warnings about fake advertisements when they are clearly advertising the casinos and when literally every other product and service does require a notification. It’s a fucking joke

What a brilliant video. I think Tom may be a person to speak with regarding this. These streamers are businesses, as well as influencers, even if to 10 or 1000 people.

I agree except for the assumption where you talk about drink and drugs. I for example dont drink or do any form of drugs or even smoke. During lockdown, while on gamstop, there was nowhere to gamble. I was to be blunt, richer. My enthusiasm was entirely curbed with no urge to flick pebbles and coins or turn cards in a darkly lit room, whatever it may be. I have no interest in footy or horse dog bets etc.

It may be wise not to allow ourselves to go down a road of assumption in these things. I am quite pleased a few of us, even if we wouldn’t normally get along or could easily fall into argument, are supporting this whole notion and agreeably looking at it diversely which then makes me look at my reply to you and consider the people who indeed would do exactly what you say.

I like to think joe bloggs being told or seeing he is not financially fit nor allowed to walk in the bookies and throw the little bit of life he has left, away, is enough but that would be naive. Maybe that is something else to consider, while pushing for a real helping hand for those with little or no self control that the industry is happily hoovering up and leaving destroyed.

I am pretty sure gamstop for on and offline play is the way to go. You can use their current membership cards and cash when the terminal is enabled for play with your membership card.

Yes it still leaves the danger out there which needs KYC and SOW to have something to do with enforcing gamstop if say people are one universal credit with dependencies or not, or if they have some other regard where allowing them to gamble isn’t a responsible thing to allow. I am not completely sure how this part should be dealt with, not being knowledgeable on the plethora of different circumstances out there. For example, people who get charitable assistance, would could or should may well be on gamstop.

I remember many moons ago a guy borrowing money from a friend because his money was stopped, he had been gambling and didnt pay a £25 debt back to a so called friend who then went to jail for non-payment of fine. There, it seems, £25 is freedom gone, for allegedly helping someone. People are sometimes struggling for a tenner, never mind a grand.

How many people know someone who has gone too far ? I do. I have.

“nanny state” – except NONE of this is aimed at the person who is stable. Initially an inconvenience and nothing more.

And while you think you are that stable, you can break. You may be strong enough never to break but what if you get triggered and tilted and throw the lot away ? Don’t say you can’t. Say everyone can’t.

An initial inconvenience isn’t punishment, it’s protection. Surely you don’t think you are that stable it doesn’t matter about the rest of the population.

I wonder what doing gamstop on bookies could lead to. I mean, imagine straight membership and verification to place bets without a quandry of thought to how it works for a moment, what could it possibly lead to ? INitially I can imagine our george saying he’s not allowed can one of us who are allowed to go an place a fiver on a three legged in the 3.15 at the track. Overseen and nurtured, possibly, not a bad thing. Of course you immediately think of the person who has got thru the net enabling group pulls for banned players and such. But would it be fair to say this is better aimed at the individual than no one at all.

One things for sure, something needs to happen. The bookie/arcade/casino is a definite gamstop go-around and the damage is awful for many people every day.

Imagine being something I dunno, unimpressed by you and someone else being oo I dunno, unimpressed by you and then you being oooo gosh darn it, I suppose unimpressed by those he or she is unimpressed with.

Now imagine you making things up on two separate websites with zero proof and showing joy at someone having mental health issues while you try to bully them into a meltdown to validate your sheer pitiful existence..

    No imagination necessary.

This is why I asked xbob if he remembers me telling people on here to kill themselves. I know that is no idea that I would push upon anyone.

You’re a disgrace rbreen. You were then, you are now. GET HELP KID. I nothing further to say to you because I know you have no intention of change, admitting you are wrong and certainly can’t magic proof that doesn’t exist, out of fresh air.

Please don’t speak to or about me again.

Staff can take your money and deposit it onto a terminal. I’m not sure but I really do think KYC SOW would be pretty much exactly the same.

You are contributing and continuing an argument from a previous thread. Please don’t try to be a smart arse about it my request was simple the 3 of you drop it.

Handy to know that when you’re banned you can just create a new account to be a cunt on here. Should’ve thought of that idea myself.

Awww angry kid is here. Anyway.

My apologies, just to be clear, I am calling for what casinos seem to have… pre-register with strict ID requirements. Then stringent kyc sow ideas to be looked at to follow that. Maybe even not being able to walk in with cash is a thing, just like online. Debit card withdrawals can’t be done in a gambling venue now if a person has “block gambling transactions” on their banking app. You can’t use their desk card machine or any standalone cashpoint because it is tied to a gambling venue.

Ask in any bookies now what kyc means and they will either vaguely remember or know nothing about it. If you go down a couple hundred in ladbrokes, you might get a question played as friendly chat but if you go way more down in betfred, they don’t ask anything and places like shipley and admiral have no issue with anyone blowing the lot.

I am very serious that people who can’t, shouldn’t. They can easily do this. Sure, it needs to be more complex, when it comes to kyc sow etc but currently it’s abysmal. 2021 and you can even more easily have your family life ruined by yourself or your loved one with gambling addiction. There was a lot said before about people who fall for it deserve it but we know they aren’t 100% to blame and the loved ones there of couldn’t be spoken about because it screwed up their case entirely, in regards to blaming the addict. This was never about blame, it was about prevention.

imagine : dad’s not coming home because he saw a man get two £500 jackpots and tried to replicate it to make our lives easier and put us in the soup kitchen. the imagination can run wild and still not fall far short of the reality. Thousands of times.

I am bloody glad you support this whole initiative that something better needs to be done. I am not saying any idea I have is workable or best but I truly believe it is at least heading in the right direction to make sure the kids food money doesn’t go in the slot machine.
