I just gamble once on the spins side, so 13 spins starting at 1x, and let that run its course. Otherwise it gets degenerate. Had a few belters on that set-up, being being just shy of 400x.
Think of red (instead of green) as being invincible mode on a fruit machine. Would pay jackpot which is 100x.
15th July 2019 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Can I request a terminator hot mode single slot series #74338T2 can take north of 100 features before you see the first hot mode. The quickest I’ve seen it come for anyone was Letsgiveitaspin a couple of years ago when they managed to hit it on their 77th feature.
I would have agreed with you if you said offline gambling, as that is utter dog now.
There is still a bit of life left in online gambling. Remember some providers such as BTG have fixed maths models which the casinos cannot change. Their only choice would be to take those games down if they care about their wallets too much.
I think DoA2 is going to be one of those slots like Terminator 2. You’re waiting for the “hot mode” feature. The number of features that you have before you hit a hot mode can be north of 100.
I have heard that the new bookies machines are problematic. RTP as low as 86% on some of the stakes!!
As a gambler myself, I had a good run in the arcades for nearly 20 years, but the slots soured from late last year. I think it was collateral damage from last year’s announcement which was meant to target the bookies only and it hit more sectors of the gambling industry than expected. I had to self-exclude myself from the arcade. It’s a bit of a pain having to go into each one, but it works for me. My only gambling nowadays is £50/month on Video Slots (someone further up did suggest £50 as a limit) and sometimes £50 on Royal Panda. I don’t play anywhere else, otherwise where does it stop?
€20 deposited and 2500 needed in points is disproportionate. Yes most people on here will deposit €20 per month no probs but I don’t know one can get 2500 in points from that size deposit. I play £50 per month and after being on VS for just over a year, I have only just hit level 2!
Thanks for the Upworthy link Liberty. I was wrong then by saying that there were more casualties in WW1. I also didn’t realise WW2 claimed a lot more civilians than military as well.
As for the debate in this thread, keep putting points across but saying “fuck off” isn’t going to help! (ref the post above mine)
I don’t know much about WW2 (my class only did WW1), but I have wondered why WW2 is a much more political and sensitive topic? A lot more people died in WW1 and yet it’s ok to make a mockery of it e.g. Black Adder. However, if you dress up as Hitler at a fancy dress party, it will get you arrested but it’s ok to dress up as another evil leader such as Genghis Khan and it’s ok to have a South Park episode centred around Saddam Hussain?
About the holocaust, again I don’t know anything about it, but I wouldn’t deny it because it’s common knowledge. It’s like knowing that WW2 took place between 1939 and 1945, and that the Spitfire plane was one of our main weapons.
I thought that the “FOBTs” had similar games to the arcade cabinets, but what was the deal with £50 mega spins? I’ve not played those myself. Guess it was similar to a feature buy on the online slots?
Also, the number of bookies in the UK peaked in the 1970s and was in decline after that. What made them so successful back then, and could they go back to that business model? Or is that business model out of date now?
On a separate note, were people allowed to smoke inside a bookies before the smoking ban? I remember people used to smoke in arcades and the smoking ban did hit the trade a little bit.
I said in another thread and I’ll say it again now – just stick with Primal!
Blueprint was there first last year imo with their Megaways response to Raging Rhino. Primal kept the same layout as Rhino, 6-reeler, no doublereaction. 3 scatters for feature, 2 more scatters for +5 spins. Also, Primal had an interesting take on bonus guarantee in that it’s +10 spins instead of 10x guarantee. I prefer Primal’s graphics, music and sounds as well.
The new Rhino Megaways is totally different from the original Rhino and Primal. They’ve used doublereaction a.k.a. Bonanza, Diamond Mine, Chilli, Millionaire etc. Then it’s 4 scatters and 3 scatters respectively. Like what some people have said on here and on YouTube, I think it’s executed too slowly, and when the volatility is as high as DOA II, players are going to get impatient.
Primal > Montezuma > original Rhino > Brexit > Rhino Megaways 🙂

Replied to the wrong thread? Classic club track back in the day though.
do you remember the Italian Job game, think it was jpm, maybe barcrest. you had to get three minis and find the best sequence ie left button right middle etc….
I remember the Italian Job 🙂 It came out in 4 different versions spanned across many years.
TIJ1 – the one you’re describing. I can’t remember who made it, I have a feeling it was Maygay. There was a gangster themed re-skin of this as well, called the Mob.
TIJ2 – this was definitely Maygay. It came out in 2001 as £15 and it received the £25 update in 2002. It had a basic lapper board and 3 minis took you to the super lapper board that gave you upgrades and repeats. Landing on “flat battery” removed one of the minis and you were back on the basic board. There was a re-skin of TIJ2 called Madness (as in the 80s pop group).
TIJ3 – I think this was Maygay as well. Came out in 2004, still on £25 setting. The nearest I could describe this is Bellfruit’s Royale Banker where you had a lower board with small cash knockouts in the middle. Then 3 minis invoked a slide mechanism which extended the board (so like Royale Banker or Dream Factory) with bigger cash knockouts on the upper half of the board. Don’t think TIJ3 got re-skinned.
TIJ4 – this was a Deal type game, made by Mazooma or Bellfruit. It would have been around 2008 era and on £35. I think the minis were on a 3 x 3 matrix. When it was filled, you could collect a streak, and the streak “strength” depended on what colour the minis were if memory serves.

I don’t mind Steam Tower or Donuts personally, just that I find it near impossible to bonus Donuts.
As for watching paint dry, that would be Wild Turkey for me as I don’t find that terribly exciting to watch. Also, Captain Venture and Lucky Lady’s Charm, although I know that will be an unpopular opinion on here.
