It was in the early days of Bellfruit Deal or No Deal.  The £35 jackpot had just come out, a time before these machines were everywhere.  Probably 2007.  I put a £2 coin in one in Wetherspoon and it jumped straight into a mega streak.  No feature board, no presses.  The reels kept spinning until it reached £35, then it was back to the base game.  A few 30p presses later, it landed the scatters for a feature board.  The telephones were red, so I knew that it meant an invincible board – where the punter plays for jackpot or the mega streak.  The next streak went for either £35 or £70.  Credits ran out and I put a few more £1 or £2 coins and the process kept happening, streaks always going for either £35 or £70.  Eventually though, I figured that this ‘glitch’ has recovered from itself and it started playing normally.  In total, I cashed out £210 (not all in 1 go), and it has never happened to me again since!

I think you got unlucky.

My base stake is 40p as well but I don’t have access to the £1.20 bonus bet.  Earlier this week, I had 3 scatters that went for £240.32, so 601X.  After that, it went dead for about 100 spins then it triggered again for 3 scatters and went for £264.32, so another 661X.  I also had 5 other bonuses (again all 3 scatters) in the region of 20X to 60X which is very likely to be more normal territory for Le Bandit.  All 7 bonuses happened on the same day though and cashed out for just under £500 profit 🙂

I see Light & Wonder mentioned a few times here.

Anyone here old enough to have played good ol’ fashioned fruit machines and section 16 machines will remember the likes of Barcrest, Maygay, Bellfruit, Astra, Electrocoin and so on.  If you played games in the arcade from around 15 years ago like Rainbow Riches, Cashino, Thai Flower, Max Millions and Monty’s Millions, you’ll remember the Barcrest logo on these games.

There is L’il Devil but also other BTG games like where I have have saved progress on White Rabbit.  I check back last week and I have lost all of my progress on 30p, 40p and 50p stakes.

It should be allowed, so it’s therefore a UI design issue.  Implementing it as a separate menu or button like with Nolimit and Pragmatic would have been ok with UK players and the UKGC.

NetEnt has closed down a few of their games for sure.  Evolution being one of them, although someone will need to confirm this.  I liked that the Bandit explained what was going on as each symbol upgraded.  Wonky Wabbits probably gone too.  He sure was a hi-roller on that!

I was also meant to add that my sister was as -7 before the surgery!  So to go from -7 to 0, and then regress slightly back to -0.50 after 4 years isn’t bad going.  That’s in both eyes.
