UK politics – I think it’s sad that we don’t have a choice any more on our parties. Labour are too far to the left (even though I identify as slightly left myself), Liberal Democrats have pretty much destroyed themselves, leaving us with a poorly-run Conservative party. Greens and UKIP have faded into irrelevance. We have essentially become a 1-party state.
Brexit – I got the impression that most people who voted leave are the more patriotic type (God Save the Queen etc), wanted British values and more native Brits in the country. I voted remain so we could keep skilled foreigners working here, filling up doctor places etc, and the diversity that it brings to our food industry e.g. Chinese, Indian and Italian. I also wanted us to stay in the EU customs union. What we’ve heading for however is something that the remainers don’t want, but also what the leavers didn’t want either. Nobody’s a winner here except for the elite at the top of the pyramid e.g. bankers.
Trump – he’s pretty divisive, polarising his country more so than some of the previous US leaders. I don’t agree with his policies, a lot of people don’t, and I think he will fall down the same pit that took JF Kennedy.
PC culture – I believe that we should respect each other as we are on race, gender, LGBT rights etc. One thing I don’t agree with is the cultural appropriate allegations. Someone getting into trouble for taking a Mexican hat to a fancy dress party has created a minefield. People shouldn’t be taking offence for something like that. Another thing I don’t agree with is the Millennial-bashing. Granted they have lived a more sheltered life than some but they get a lot of hate for some reason. I’m not a Millennial btw – I was born in 1978.
Social media – I’m mainly YouTube here. I’ve got Facebook which I check occasionally for groups of interest. I don’t post photos of what I’m eating. I’m also on Instagram but not sure how to use it really. I’m not on Twitter, Myspace, Snapchat or anywhere else.
Conspiracy theories – I don’t agree with most of them e.g. the false moon landings, flat earth society, holocaust didn’t happen etc. I’m not sure about 9/11. I do have my suspicions on the 2017 Manchester bombing though. It happened on the same day that Theresa May had her worst opinion poll in the run up to the 2017 election. It was the timing. Pointless loss of life in the name of terrorism.
Biohazard, that’s interesting about a few of the pick bonuses being truly random.
Every spin on a slot generates a ticket. A bonus is usually a ticket itself. For bonuses that have a gamble ladder like in Millionaire and Chilli, each rung determines how the bonus will unfold or the likelihood of the next gamble winning if you decide to gamble. So every successive rung generates a new ticket.
For a pick-based bonus that is entirely predetermined, the picks and the subsequent free spins will all be generated on the 1 ticket. For truly random picks though, does each pick change the ticket on the outcome of the spins?
1For speeding, you get issued with (I think) a £70 fine. I’ve known a few cases where you could waiver the fine but you have to take a driving refresher test.
Smashing up any type of fruit machine is criminal damage. Like with the speeding, it’s caught on CCTV and should be enforceable as a £70. Or you can waiver it but you would had to go on an anger management course.
notrege – congrats on £500 jackers 🙂
1) Imperial Dragon….. obviously!
2) Spinal Tap
3) Wu Xing
4) The Goonies
5) Primal MegaWays
6) Genie MegaWays
7) Ted
8) Zuma
9) Bejeweled / Bejeweled 2
10) Worms / Worms Reloaded
For Imperial Dragon, there is also Thai Princess which is its predecessor. Zuma and Bejeweled are from old Popcap games which show up very occasionally from the streamers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Wu Xing from though, but it is one of the progressive “Jackpot King” games like Top Cat, King Kong Cash and Ted.
BTG is my favourite online provider, but yes I’ve never got on with Donuts either. Given it plenty of chances and still yet to bonus it. It’s a shame as I like the music and graphics, like with most BTGs.
6th February 2019 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Playing Monte and Rhino together – what are your online habits? #46897I think it’s just habit for most players. For example if I play Wild Heist at Peacock Manor then I’ll usually play Secret of the Stones afterwards and I know the reason is that the bonuses offer a “choice” with the cards/stones even though I’m convinced it’s all predetermined anyways. I’ll also play Book of Dead and Legacy of Egypt afterwards and that’s probably just to stick to the theme of the slot, strange when I think about it. I imagine you watched the latest Craigslots video as he said pretty much the same thing after playing Raging Rhino. ?
Good call about Wild Heist and Secret of the Stones. It reminds me of another online video where someone played Dead or Alive and Cazino Zeppelin together. In that example though, the 2 slots were being played simultaneously in 2 adjacent tiled windows. I think they were on the same site too, so I’m not sure how they managed that, having 2 active login sessions on the same site?
Amy Adams!
Not sure if the picture will work as some of my other posts had pictures missing too.
The only slot that is worth buying a feature on (imo) is White Rabbit.
Extra Chilli, Book of Gods, Spinal Tap, Genie MegaWays, Millionaire, Vikings and Fat Santa are too degenerate for the average £50 or £100-a-month online punter.
When I saw the pig collecting the coins, I actually thought that it was going to be based on that Chinese-themed game where you keep filling a pot, then when the pot closes, it gives you a feature.
+1 on Eye of Horus. I’ve only bonused the fecker once and it went for 10x. This is the offline (cat B3) version though. I haven’t played it online.
I think this is known as gambler’s fallacy. Near-misses are programmed into slot machines, both online and offline, and also fruit machines. The software is telling your brain to subconsciously register this as a ‘near win’ instead of a loss, which keeps you playing for more. The same goes with small wins. If your stake is £1 and you win 60p, the slot plays a visual and sound cue to imply that you have ‘won’, egging you on.
1Not sure if this is the right section to post video comments, but I will say that the 40p/60p video posted today is the most relatable video I’ve seen yet. The Bandit was asking for feedback on this. I tend to deposit £50 on Videoslots and stick with 40p or 50p, then possibly 60p if I’m doing well. The only thing I don’t do is the Wild Swarm chasing and the Reel King ladder.
11Not me personally, but I know a friend who got a £70 Big Deal. It’s similar to the Crazy Chair in that it has the matrix of 12 boxes which can turn red. Then the board game is a bit different as it has inner and outer boards and you land on arrows to go inside by 1 layer or go out by 1 layer. He knows his way around electronics and DIY and has looked after his machine really well. Plus, he has flashed the firmwares so that the coin mech can take the new £1 coin and the plastic notes.
I played a cat C £1/£100 Reel King in Wetherspoons earlier this year. When I collected a £41 balance, it paid out the first £30 in notes then it errored out on the rest. A bar staff took my number and told me to wait for a call. 5 days later, I got the call asking me to come back, which I did and I collected the £11 no probs. I thought that was pretty helpful.
Then on the unhelpful side, you have the “Quickshots” arcade in Manchester’s Piccadilly train station. One of their Deal or No Deal machines displayed an IOU £15 (I owe you £15). When I called a staff member around, I was asked for ID. I was 34 years old at the time!! Didn’t have my passport on me and I can’t driver, so left me no option but to leave and I don’t live local to Manchester. So the issue I have with Quickshots then was that it was no problem me losing money on their machines. No ID when I lose, but they want ID when I win.
