Comments like “in it for himself” absolute fuck me off to the rafters, if only you actually knew what went on behind the scenes instead of guessing. I just cba to reply to this kind of accusation anymore because i am absolutely sick of being the rational one explaining everything and how everything works and what gets given to who and when, i’ve done it so many times to so many people it just isn’t worth it anymore.

Diddums… I hadn’t realised you didn’t make from your videos, just did them for entertainment value. (Lolz).

I own a jewellery shop. It’s so much work behind the scenes Steve,  everyone thinks it’s like shelling peas mate.  To earn a few quid you have to properly graft some, and no-one understands.  Oh, and if I treat my customers like shit (arsey comments) or decide “fuck it, I’ll just shut this week” (I.e. no videos) they get cross and go elsewhere… its like nobody appreciates that I want to run my business on my own terms and couldn’t really care less about anyone else.

Says plenty that my comment got half a dozen likes and yours got half that. Almost as though someone thinks I’m talking sense.   Oh, you’re the rational one though. Sorry. 😉

Btw thank you for clearing up that you need to base your vid on YouTube before linking here, that clears up everything I was asking and would  have had me nodding and apologising to be honest, no need to go deeper. Thank you for doing so, but I think its shown more that you’ve fallen out of love with this side of running a commercial enterprise.   Like, I love selling diamonds but I fucking hate dealing with the tyre kickers and pests. Trouble is, you cant treat them differently just in case. You start being a snappy cunt with people and you’re gonna lose some genuine customers.

If you’re that fed up with your fans go back to slotting for fun… without affiliation and your competitions. Go on, I dare you.

    No?  Shocked.

Agreed fully guffleshuffle, I wasnt quite as delicate about it but we’ve said about the same there I think.

I fully appreciate that it’s frustrating dealing with the mitherers and bell ends but I also recognise that it’s a business model and personally I think he could be more tactful in his responses.

Steve/bandit is still active on here and I’m sure his eyes will flit across this thread at some point, at which stage I’m sure I’ll get the same bollocking for my comments as the poor chap on twitter. I’m really not that concerned, whatever is going on elsewhere shouldn’t really spill over to attacks on his fans.  I wish him the best with everything but the past few twitter posts have started out defensive and angry. Bad position to come from imo.  🙁

Hideous and “mr big spin” are my two regulars to watch now. Bloody love big spins accent, i think hes German (?) but regardless, hes chirpy as fuck even when he’s getting beasted by the slots.

    “Letz vin togezzer”.

Im not sure what’s wrong with posting the video here… already got the affiliation from site members so no need? I’m genuinely curious in asking that, not trolling before I’m shot down.

Some weeks it’s good enough to put a link on Twitter and point his fans  to BackInAMo for a vid (bollocks to YouTube) and some weeks the YouTube ban is used as an excuse not to film and we’re just told “tough”.

I’ll be Frank here I genuinely couldn’t give a fuck now after reading a couple of proper arsey replies on twitter

(e.g. :random name: “bloody hell you might as well not even call it Sunday slots these days”  *tongue firmly in cheek*.   :Steve: “actually I’ll call it what the fuck I like, it’s my channel and my rules so ner”).

I appreciate a hangover can affect your mood but it’s not even irregular now, I’m quite convinced that the Bandit – who I have followed for YEARS and years, from back when ten quid spins would have given him nosebleeds – is now just in it for himself and could give two fucks about fans or followers. That one post sealed it for me, I’m out.  I don’t expect apologetic snivelling like some of the slot streamers dish out while begging for support, but a little bit of consideration for the people who put him on top would go a long way.

To return to my original point, if you don’t like it the solution is really simple…

That isn’t a sensible business stance for Bandit though.  With less viewers comes less revenue.  With less revenue comes less charitable donations.  I condemn any personal attacks against Steve for making this decision, and from what I read, some really vile people have popped their head out of their ass to be flatulent for a moment in the most horrible way.  At the same time, @kojak and many others should not be alienated or lambasted for protesting.  As long as they’re not being abusive then let them be heard.

I was disappointed with the cancellation but for different reasons to most.  Personally I don’t like to see division or favor among The Bandit’s following.  You can’t please everyone but you don’t need to subjugate people’s principals either.

Cheers Jamie,  but I’m not protesting, I’m just arguing the other side of the coin as it were.  If anyone cares to read the three or four posts I made in reply to other people’s threads they will see that I’m not arsed either way what Steve does with HIS money, I’m happy for the charities, but I still think it’s a low move just pulling the prize draw a week after its meant to have been drawn.  He sounded genuinely excited about giving the money away on the lil devil video.

I have been quite vocal but very very reserved and reasonable, I recognise that its maybe the only thing Bandit could have done in the circumstances. Sadly, Benjamin @BJM86 thought he could spin my arguments into branding me a bottom feeder, which left me quite eager to see what his insides looked like.

@bjm86 (blowjob man?) That cheered my morning up no end. Would you call me a “bottom feeder” in real life? I suspect not, you jumped up little keyboard warrior. I think you need to read everything I’ve written you little prick, I’m no parasite and certainly not holding my cap out for a handout, I’m simply representing the “other” side as most of the fan-boys here are championing the decision to cancel a prize draw after it’s supposed to have happened.  I’m glad that the charities are getting the money, but this draw wasn’t for charity was it, the video was recorded as a Christmas giveaway for the forum. I’m not in need of money and I never for a moment expected to win anything, neither do I feel entitled, I just said it leaves a very nasty taste when something is put in place to get the forum members buzzing then it’s taken away.

Maybe because I’ve been on here for 2 years and know other forum members who’ve won in the prize draws and know they got paid. How’s that, genius? And maybe I know they’re fair draws because he does them on random.org on fucking camera

Which could all be Smoke and mirrors. You’re full of cackamalla. I’ll leave you to return back to Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Listen, you’re new on here but if you get on the main forum menu, scroll down to “competitions” and there’s a sub-forum for “winners”. There are 4 whole pages of genuine winners of Steve’s competitions and giveaways going back over a year so please don’t start insulting folk and spouting that rubbish.   TheBandit is as honest as they come, totally transparent in all aspects of his gambling and affiliation.    Maybe this was a bad move, maybe it was a genius move, maybe (I’m leaning this way) it was the only move – whatever this mess was, the previous giveaways have been totally on the level, go and look then you can come  back and apologise, you’re being out of line though bud. Respectfully.

This ‘IT’S FREE SO WHY ARE PEOPLE MOANING’ is getting on my nipple ends.

People are putting forward constructive points for and against. It may be ‘free’ but gains have been made from it ie subs and no doubt sign ups via affiliate links. This makes it click bait IMO.

Again, like I said earlier, it’s great charities will gain from this but i can also understand frustrations. For me it’s not the draw but the guys on here and twitter that are so far up Bandits arse and the ‘but its free’ patter.

    Cant argue with that.

It’s free, yes, but members here add value to the forum (yes, forums are commodities and with enough traffic they can be heavily monitised) plus – and I know this is an age old argument with no right or wrong solution – bandit doesn’t run the slot vids for nothing, or because hes feeling especially benevolent towards his followers… it’s a business at the end of the day. Early days (and yes, I’ve been a fan for a long-ass time!) it was constant grinding to gather followers, then once the 5 figures was hit and there were many hundreds of casino sign-ups via his links, content slowed down significantly to a video a week.

Make of that what you will. I know that I would speculate that Bandit has hit a figure he’s comfortable with in terms of affiliation payments and stopped providing as much content… like a TV channel eager to sign you up with loads of new shows, but then only giving you a trickle of decent stuff once you’ve joined up.

End of the day I’m not arsed where the money goes, but offering it as a viewer prize and then doing a last minute ‘180’ is a bit of a shitty move ain’t it? And that’s not a swipe, I like Steve a lot and I admire what he’s done, what he’s doing and what he stands for.  I’d say the same to anyone.  There was a monster profit on the lil devil vid with a great prize offered to BiaM members and it went elsewhere. Bad move, if a prize is offered it should be drawn, there were loads of options other than “fuck it, cancelled”. Like binning the whole 13000 registrations and starting again with criteria added (something like a minimum 4 weeks membership, or at least one active post/comment in the last 3 months).

It’s the last I’ll say on this because I’m bored of the moaning from both sides.  I just read the Twitter feed too and I’ll say there’s a special level of hell for pricks who threaten a man’s family,  scummy little cowards!

I’ve had a laugh on the threads with folk today but to nail my colours to a mast I think the charities will all be exceptionally grateful for the boost, but cancelling the draw was a poor move, and it’ll be a while before I can feel good about watching the bandit smash profits on the videos after this one.

It’s not gonna be a popular opinion seedy, but it’ll be a common one I’m afraid.

FWIW I just watched the latest vid and for the first time I wasnt really arsed whether it was a win. That’s just me being honest.

Now that’s me as a low post-count member who comes and goes from the forum, fully aware that the odds of the prize draw meant I had no chance of winning anything. Still, the fact the prize was removed from the prize draw has left a bit of a sour taste. And bear in mind this is someone who quite happy to see the money go to charity… there will be plenty less understanding, there are some desperate folk on here.

I’m pleased with the outcome, I advocated charities benefitting instead of these dumbasses trying to scam a christmas give-away.

BUT… just to play (lil) devils advocate, this was a treat for followers of Bandits slot vids and BackInaMo, and was supposed to benefit three members here.  I’m sure some genuine people signed up to the forum just to join the draw, and god knows the forum needs fresh blood once in a while. The carrot was dangled and now it’s been snatched away.  Last year the Fat Santa giveaway was much fairer and a handful of people had the sting taken out of christmas with a few pound notes in their pocket. I joined here just before that giveaway but I wasnt very active so I felt cheeky signing up to it, so I just observed.

The last word on this lil devil vid was that on christmas eve (or was it 23rd?) Bandit would quite literally make the year of one of his supporters.

I understand the reasoning, I’m very pleased that a few charities are going to benefit, but it doesn’t sit well with me. Next time TheBandit has something like the soccer million appeal running I wonder if people will be as eager to give back to the forum?

I know it was a pain in the arse sorting out the genuine entries…. but as much of a pain in the arse as collecting all those heartstoppers?? I doubt it.

I don’t know much about this topic except I once sold 10 bitcoin for 2grand ??? 18 months later they where worth a house.

I’m also keen to put some money somewhere if/when I have it before it flutters away, good thread man.

Can anyone go into more detail on the premium bonds? I understand you can “win” money but I don’t fully get the concept

Where did you get the ten bitcoin from in the first place and not really know the value? The miners I know knew early doors which way it was going….

Anyway, premium bonds. Savings account with a bonus… to put it in the simplest terms each quid you have saved = 1 ticket into an enormous monthly raffle. Top prize is a million quid.

They send you a cheque each month with whatever you’ve won. One month you might win nothing, next month you might make a grand.

It’s a zero risk proposition as your investment (I’ve a feeling you have to buy blocks of 100 quid and you can cash them out instantly at any time) but very low yield for savers. Then again, it’s a million quid a month that someone has to win.

Listen,  I’ve only entered once for me… plus once each for both the kids, 3 and 8. They’ve had a rough year and watching the bandit swear and gamble cheets them right up, the little scamps.  Oh, I’ve entered once for my cat – she was well concerned when bandit had the aggro with fred the cat, kept asking after him. Oh and the other cat… it sort of raises half an eyelid when I laugh at one of Steve’s outbursts, I can tell he’s a fan.  And my dog, thick as fuck it is but I’ve entered for him too, he’s as much right as anybody else!!

Add to that both parents, my six grandparents (God rest their wrinkly souls), my wife, my girlfriend and my masseuse.  I think that’s fair. Of course it’s all from one IP address but exceptions need to be made for long-time viewers!!!

Plus, it’s been a hard time recently. I was fired (in 2008) and then made redundant (in 2011).  I now work for myself but business ain’t what it used to be.

I have a sick/dying cat (neither of the above), and Christmas presents to buy (for next year) and my car is broken and been stuck in the garage since August (true story, actually).

Plus one of my bathroom taps is leaking.

And I have an I growing toenail.

And an ulcer on my tongue.

I know the odds of this prize draw are close to drawing 5 balls on the lottery, or backing man city to actually fucking complete a coupon, but I honestly feel like I deserve this free money given away by a stranger, and I think this post will seal the deal.  ???

I’m an addict and always will be. As it happens I can just about afford my addiction at the moment as I’m doing ok , so it’s just expensive entertainment. When I was skint I was spending just as much though!!!

Now it’s not the end of the world and beg/steal/borrow if I blast a couple of hundred quid, sadly I’d probably still do it if that was still the case, so yes certainly an addict at heart.

Strangely though when I had nothing, all I wanted to do was gamble. Every day.  Now, I only get the urge once or twice a week and quite often I can replace the urge with something else.

I’ll never beat it, but at 37 years old I’ve got a pretty good handle on my triggers.

Couple of years ago you’d have got a reasonable quality Rolex for that money. You’ll still get a good vintage Precision, or a loose Datejust. Trust me when I say those are THE best investment of the last decade. I bought a GMT master for £3500 in 2016, sold it for just shy of 10k in 2018 and the chap who bought it off me sold it again this year for £16500.  And its not even a rare model, just a standard 1675 GMT. I wish I’d seen the bubble earlier because those watches were everywhere!   ?

FTSE 100 tracker fund.  Safe as houses and should pay a regular dividend.  There are some smaller more volatile stocks in there but 75% of them (petroleum, pharmaceuticals etc) should show growth forever.

Its UK only but there are still enough big names to make it an interesting proposition.

2 grand is a funny amount to invest, there are loads of “slow and steady” options for over ten and a good few “maximum risk/maximum reward” investments for under a grand, but if you’re not concerned about doing it in, have a look at building your own stock portfolio, maybe spread ten ways at 200 quid each. Small cost to set up, but as long as you sit tight and dont chase the buying and selling dream you’ll be all set after one single set-up fee.

Alternatively, stick it all in christmas cards and wrapping paper… They are 25p a pack in poundland now, I reckon you’ll double your money next december.

Most of my money is in gold and silver, I used to have a 15kg solid silver block as a doorstop ??.  The market is volatile as fuck at the minute though, I couldn’t recommend anyone sinking cash into metals right now, although they could go either way and industry insiders still reckon gold has another 25% push in it.
