Advice:
Stop gambling!
You need a programme in place….
K9 or similar on ALL of your devices, with password set by someone else obviously.
Maybe speak to the bank about blocking your cards for gambling sites.
Speak to a friend or a family member about your addiction.
Do. Not. Gamble. Again. This. Month!!! Until you get straight with what you owe, stop fucking betting. You say you always leave enough to cover your bills? Why is your rent paid a month in arrears? It’s usually a month in hand – you’re essentially two months behind there already.
Join gamstop and just stop. Gambling is a debilitating disease at its worst and only you have the power to cut it out.
No-one here will help you financially – at least I hope there is more sense on the forum than that anyway – but lots of us have been through the wringer with the addiction. You might find some advice but best bet is to head to the gamcare forum right now.
Wishmaster! Ten points that lad, I couldn’t conjour up the name. That was always fun for a hundred spins, it always stuck in my throat a bit though that you still get charged for your spin while in the Bonus (if you can call it a bonus).
Evolution as well, I’d forgotten that one. Pulled from the sites? Wow.
I love Three Little Pigs as well, once again though it’ll either do a 10x bonus or go mental and spew out a 200x, very little inbetween.
The streaming bubble hasn’t burst, it just needs a bit of shaking up.
Chip is OK, I watched him religiously for a couple of months but when you’re seeing the same 6 games all stream long it gets dull as all-hell.
(“Where we going now, Chip? Oh, back to Genie for 50p buys… ok. Hang on, Jord is having a press? YAY! New gam… oh wait, Fishin’ Frenzy again? OK, cool”.)
I finally gave up after the “stream” he uploaded which was about 20 minutes long! Spewed his deposit and logged off…Nick… it’s all been said.
Rocknrolla… too sporadic. Loved his weekend streams and random high stakes footage, where’s he gone??
Craigslots and Jimbo… Meh, feast or famine, plus Jimbo rarely edits down to bonus footage now, I’m not watching a 4 hour stream to find 20 minutes of bonuses.
Gabriel Slots has the most annoying voice ever recorded. If he did the original recording for Thomas Edison, Tommy would have smashed up the Phonograph and gone back to light bulbs. True story. Still, gabe has some decent single-slot videos running 1000 spins through various games. (Bandit, what happened to yours?? Flame Busters, Bonanza, Danger High Voltage then bugger all for about 5 years when you did Lil’ Devil! haha).
Clearly Bandit is the one we all enjoy most but the days of three videos a week MINIMUM went buh-bye ages ago and the current state of one upload a week is a bit poo. No apology offered, it is crap for a professional YouTuber (ok, affiliate) to only give new content once a week. Sunday Slots coupled with a Wednesday single slot vid… now we’re talking!
Those stakes have gotten stupid. I appreciate high stakes videos but only JUSTIFIABLE high stakes.
Big milestone for followers? Hell yes, chuck ten bags in and lets go!
Monster win on a slot – topped RK or popped a hive on £40 – Awwww yeah, crank it up to a tenner a spin my lad.Maxing the stakes in the last video just felt like a desperate chase. No real reason for it, except of course Danger pulled us out of the shit a few weeks ago with the big bonus. I know you can’t really jump from 40 notes a spin to a fiver but I think after the Reel King session it was time to step away from the computer for a few hours, grab a pint, chuck some darts and calm down a bit.
***Note – Yes, I’m aware of the pressure to get a vid up ASAP having missed Sunday Slots, but it was going out on Wednesday anyway, a little break would have been ok***
Am I out of line with any of that?
I did notice the large shift towards love for Vegas. I’m looking forward to a Vegas Slots vid as much as the next man but don’t give up on the UK online ones. The slots over there love to bonus but in my limited experience (one visit) they pay shit all. I quite enjoy VegasLowRoller on Youtube, but he gets a hard-on over a hundred dollar win (while playing $3-$5 a spin!) hahaha. The UK slots are always going to have more potential.
2Crystal queen is worth a look. Pretty fun base game with multi-directional growing wilds, and a good bonus with mega-ways sort of potential. I never hit huge on it but it’s an easy way to kill an hour cheaply.
300 quid a month isn’t a lot of money if you have a decent income… it’s depressing, as you say, but it sounds like “hobby level” gambling if there can be such a thing 🙂
I presume you don’t have a joint account with your partner though, or that would be noticed.First thought is, I’m not sure I believe your numbers – if you’re appealing for help on a public forum to curtail your spend then I suspect the actual number has been skewed slightly and you might be spending more than you want to admit. No judgement, I’ve done it and did for many years kid myself that I was in control of it.
Second thought is, if you’re doing it pretty much daily then it’s definitely become a habit and can very easily become an addiction… Working on my own experience I reckon you should look at the self exclusion programmes. So if you play a few quid on Monday, before you log off put a 24 hour ban in place. Even if you get the urge on Tuesday, your account is locked until the following day anyway. Better still, have a play at weekend then put a 5 day block in place.
(That’s an imperfect solution as you can just register with another site and be playing within 20 minutes, but if that happens then at least you know you have more than a slight problem). The best thing I did when I stopped playing online was to find new hobbies. The obvious solution would be grab yourself a Playstation or an X-Box and kill a few hours that way instead – anything that keeps you off the computer and half a dozen clicks away from gambling!
Partially agree DanDapper, but not entirely.
The nosebleed stakes recorded by Bandit have been hard to watch, but it’s all been results oriented, i.e. Wild Swarm (spend £10k filling the hive, but then take a £20k bonus), and Reel King (Endless £5k deposits all chasing a “top”). When you know there’s a pot of gold at the end it’s really not so hard to understand the big numbers wagered, in fact it would be stupid to stay at the middling £2 and £5 stakes in those cases if you have the means to play higher.
As it goes, they all now seem to have tailed off a bit as I gather hitting the top on RK has turned into a near impossible feat and I’ve witnessed a good few dud “swarms” that people have sweated over.I’m curious, what makes you suggest an income of £500k a month to play big stakes? Bear in mind that gambling is a source of income for Bandit in some way or another (you can be as angry as you like about that), would you not consider it an investment?
I did similar at Heron Foods in Bolton a couple of weeks ago, 20 quid bill and the girl had lost her purse so I told the cashier to tag it onto mine.
(disclaimer… I had a pint going warm in Wetherspoons where I was meeting my mate and I didn’t really fancy waiting for the cashier to scan/restock a trolley full of crap, so not entirely selfless) haha.
As it happens the girl came by my shop the next day with the cash and a thank-you card with a lottery ticket inside (didn’t win). I never expected to see her again but it just goes to show one good turn deserves another.
I’ve helped out people with little things like train tickets etc in the past and always ask them to pay-it-forward, i.e. if they see someone in a fix somewhere down the line, give the benefit of the doubt and try and do the same for them. It’s a nice thought that one small good deed might turn into a few more.
I like the idea OP but it would push the potential payout into astronomical levels – full screen of explorers on a 20x multiplier… bye bye Casumo, call in the administrators 😀
What might work is something like Gonzo’s Quest – a ratcheted pay scale for cascade wins which then resets to zero each spin. Mind you there are no cascades on the expander games are there? Hmmmm, ok, needs some work…
A cautionary tale indeed @Epicdaz…. to all of us. STOP DRINKING ON SCHOOLNIGHT AND DON’T EVER TYPE PISSED.
(or an artful begging post?)
“fair play to a man who splashes out shit loads back to his fans( not me yet)”…29th June 2019 at 9:33 am in reply to: That slot you can’t fathom why anyone would want to play #72283I can think of two off the top of my head –
Playboy, that slot is boring as all hell and I have never seen a monster win from it yet. It’s always a skip when someone plays that on a vid.
Thunderstruck II. As above really, the base is a yawn-fest and the bonus just plain dull. I’ve seen one or two decent hits but not enough to justify having it on a regular rotation.
I feel your pain, I had a similar experience after self-excluding from my first ever casino (Ladbrokes) then having a large win playing a Poker tourney. I got my money because the email transcript clearly showed me asking JUST for the casino to be blocked (I was regularly spending 6-8 hours grinding NLHE then spewing my winnings on the slots).
Key points here;
absolutely game changing money for me and my family.
It such a lot of money that could really help myself and my family
Two very similar quotes which I firmly believe are true. However, I’m reading between the lines here that you’re a long time gambling addict, as evidenced in the two quotes below – not even knowing you’d played there plus being compelled to self-exclude. That being the case, how likely is it that this money would have helped your family? Based on your evening rate, that was ten more deposits then it would have vanished into the ether.
I wasn’t aware i already had an account but was told i did from years ago and had self excluded
i honestly didn’t know i had previously played there
Every positive and negative in life is a lesson. STOP GAMBLING! This little episode might cost you your deposits or it might not, regardless it should be an enormous wake-up call that this is not a path you should be on. Install K9 blocking software on your devices today and get your Mrs to set the password. Do that right now and you’ll be free of this stress, take it from me.
1This thread is part of the reason I’ve stopped logging on here… any forum with perceived wealth attached to it will always attract begging letters, it’s happened on a couple of watch collectors forums I’m on too.
I don’t earn much money, and I have debts, and my partner can’t work, and my cat has the flu. Please bail me out because I can’t cope…
Anyway;
I wouldn’t purchase the engagement ring from the high Street jewellery shop. it’s way too expensive being like x 2 x 3 the average price. I bought mine online in actually from different country which made it a lot lot cheaper. so instead of spending thousands I spent only hundreds.
Please do NOT do this. Mind you… it’s a gambling forum I guess.
I own a jewellery shop in the UK and I get people in on a daily basis asking if they have bought “the real deal” while on holiday. First reaction is an internal “doesn’t matter if it’s real now, you’re stuck with it!” but I have to go through the motions of checking.
With diamond solitaires I would say 80% are real and 20% are fake (either synthetic man-made diamonds, or a substitute like Moissanite), so you’re on a 1 in 4 shot of it being real for starters.
For those 80% of real ones, at least half are of poorer quality than you’ve been told. Let’s say I might have a one carat diamond ring in the window for £5000 that you have bought for £3000 in India. Bargain! Except mine is a G colour (colourless diamond) and VVS clarity. Yours is an I colour (slightly tinted, but colourless to an untrained eye) with an SI clarity, so with a loupe you can see chunks of carbon floating inside.Less of a bargain now.
Now ignore the prices at the big chain jewellers with shareholders to pay, and the city centre ones with ridiculous rent and rates overheads and look at smaller independents like me. I can make a diamond ring “bespoke”, ordering all the components from trade and have my goldsmith assemble it for half the price you see in the big stores. In fact that has been my key business for the past 3 years.
Find a good independent near you, tell them what you want and tell them your budget – you may need to sacrifice ten points on the diamond size, or maybe one colour/clarity grade, but I guarantee they will accommodate you. You get a hand made ring for LESS than buying off the shelf, that’s the bonkers part.
Better still you can cut out the middle man (i.e. me) and source your own diamond then have a goldsmith make a setting for it. I spend a quarter of a million quid a year with Blue Nile diamonds – they are very close to trade prices and you can ALWAYS find what you want.
Anyway, I’m less than convinced the engagement is even real (apologies for my cynicism) and even if it is, how special is that ring going to be knowing another bloke paid for it? Not sure my ego could have handled that.
Exactly as above. Use your player card, and importantly make sure it’s valid in all the casinos. We were with MGM (stayed at the Luxor) but didn’t earn points using the card at the Bellagio which was weird.
Stayed for five days and after one pretty big slot machine win (the 5 seater community Wheel of Fortune slot) we played with profit pretty much the whole time. The last day was free food and free drink with the points we had accumulated.
Just a thought, I have no idea what new hotel resorts (if any) have sprung up this year but it’s worth contacting and seeing if you can have a discounted rate in return for an “honest review” on their website. When we left last time the Luxor offered us 75% off a return the following year at a new MGM property, that was in 2015 and sadly we had to decline – having kids meant we’ve still not been back yet.
Just go and wing it. You can listen to advice and watch the Vlogs on YouTube, but you’ll never fit in everything you want to do so just relax and go with the flow, you can make your own “to do” list for next time. 😉

1) I think people will lose miles more as its hard to win anything back. At least on the old style you could be 200 in to it and hit back to back to get even again.
2) This has took away a massive chance to win anything the look you need to hit the green then hit something good seems impossible.
1) The £2 stake was introduced to kill this train of thought – “If I keep betting and I’ll get even”. It is dangerous as gambling addicts <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>don’t</span> get even, they just bet more. Wishing for back to back wins to “get even” is insanity. I’m sure we’ve all done it (the old “one-time, please!”) but gamblers lose. The bookies aren’t running on fumes, they are all multi-million pound cash grabbers built on you losing on their machines.
2) See above. The new bookies roulette is not geared to pay out £500 spins, it’s designed to be an affordable bit of fun. Stick £10 in, you might win £15 back or you might be out of pocket the price of a round of drinks.
These reg’s were well overdue and I for one welcome them. I rarely played FoBT’s anyway but I have seen people literally chuck their lives into them, the high street would be a much better place without them altogether. Clearly you’re a problem gambler (“So I finally broke and went in a bookies that I’m not banned from…“) so surely you should be able to see that these rules are to protect you?
All that is missing now is a sign-up system. Those machines shouldn’t take a single penny unless you have a card or an ID number – essentially having to opt-in to play rather than opt-out when you discover you have a problem.
I quite like the big stakes… now and again.
I was here for the 5k sub video, the 10k sub video, the 15k (Remind me, is that the one where he only realised halfway through that it was a biggie and jumped from £2 stakes to £20 stakes?? Hahahaha).
Anyway, big stakes are a thrill when dropped in as a special. Sadly, these days we start on £2 Book of Dead, £2 Danger, maybe whatever the new MegaWays slot is… then inevitably we are on Reel King, maybe we’ll start at £1.60, then £4 stake, then £8, then £16 and before we know it it’s a ridiculous £40 a spin sesh. Of course we’re forced to stay until it’s a ‘top’ on the max-stake and then it’s mega high stakes slotting because Bandit no longer gets a thrill from 2 quid a spin.
To be quite frank it’s thrilling for a very short while then gets boring, because it’s 100% unrelatable. I have played poker at nosebleed stakes, but slots at 20 quid a spin on slots is just suicidal. Almost every session I watch now I’m praying for the inevitable day they remove the gamble ladder, which isn’t any good but it MIGHT bring us back down to earth with some fun videos.
I recall the very early low stakes days of course, but long for the glory days of £1000 start balance and £2 a spin. Maybe £4/£5 if we were on a heater. Back then it was a drama if we lost the original grand and had to reload – it was a battle against the machines to claw a few quid back. These days, with a £2000 deposit lasting an average of 5 minutes on RK it’s just a dreadful dreadful watch.
Please note, @bandit, how I say WE instead of YOU. Yes it’s your money, but we are a community. Everyone here wishes you success and wills you to do well, even though its you and not us who profit. Sadly you seem hell-bent on alienating all but the most degenerate gamblers. If you were trying to create a forum of regular heavy gamblers then great. It’s not what you told us in the early days though…
