Oh obviously streamers advertising dodgy casinos is shite in my book. There’s a limit to how much protection we can give to people tho without the government getting involved in most aspects of our daily life.

There is even an argument to be made that gambling in general is a harmful pursuit where families get destroyed, people lose their houses and some even take their own lives.

<span style=”font-size: 1rem;”>Im not here to make that argument, just stating that all streamers advertise casinos, if the casino isn’t a dodgy one then whether they are playing with real or fake money they get people to gamble. That’s the point of the stream, so if you are angry at a fake money streamer enticing people you should be just as angry at a real money streamer doing so. </span>

I don’t think a streamer bring given free money to gamble with is morally a good thing but it’s not like they rig the games to show said streamer winning loads of cash. The latter would be illegal and misleading whereas the former is just boring to watch if you know its fake, however it doesn’t entice you to play anymore than watching bandit play as they are both using the same machines with the same logic code etc

The issue it seems to me is that you assume the latter or that 1+2=42

I sees. There probably isn’t any, I can’t imagine what proof would be out there because of course any content creator only has to reveal what they choose. It intrigues me that fake streamers have become a hot topic since Paul’s video though; I always took it for granted there were many fake streamers and they are for the most part fairly easy to spot on at least balance of probability if not proof. I watch around 5 including Steve and Paul who I believe to be wholly genuine, real money gamblers and more importantly, I find them fun to watch. Even if e.g. Roshstein is real, his style and persona still turn me off like a granny’s sagging, wrinkled tits.

Yeah that was kinda my point. Don’t claim irrefutable evidence if you can’t provide it etc.

Anyway I’ve watched about 30m of roshtein and whether he’s real or fake he’s not doing it for me so I just don’t watch him. Each to their own, hell I like the bearded Dutch guy everyone else seems to dislike and I enjoy/ed watching davos. Watch what you enjoy. Ignore what you don’t. Simple.

@awesomex yeah show me the undeniable proof too please. I think he’s probably fake but the way his hands were shaking after the doa2 win the other day was quite convincing. However if you’ve loads of undeniable proof that he’s fake that would put the whole thing to bed for everyone. Thanks!

One ‘side’ of this discussion has facts behind it the other is all about gut feeling. You’ve done a good job protecting just basics tho as he was about to go full potato.

Been reading this thread over the last day of so and thought I’d try out taking some bonuses at a couple of new casinos to see if they played any different to Sky Vegas where I’ve played for 3 years of so.

The majority of my play in Sky is bonanza, primal, DHV. Over the last few years I typically deposit £500/month and play £2 spins, never hit anything massive.

On average if would take me 600 spins or so to trigger the bonanza bonus with my biggest bonus around 280x and around 350x on DHV. Overall on Sky Vegas I’m probably down £8k or so over 3 years.

So firstly I sign up at Casumo, deposit £300 + £300 bonus and start smashing bonanza at £2/spin, over 3000 spins I had 11 bonuses, nothing special apart from a 450x win. I then take the balance to the final countdown and get 3 bonuses over 600 spins, again, nothing special but had a few 100x and one 200x hit in the base game. Next I go to primal where I start on £1/spin because I know it’s a bit more high variance and start spinning. After 1000 spins I’m down £300ish and up it to £2/spin with no joy after another 1000 spins.

At this point I have around £700 left in the account roughly split 50/50 between raw cash and bonus funds, so I up it to £4/spin. At the lowest I was down to £44 left in my account when I had a half decent bonus which paid 250x, so back to 1k or so in the account.

Fast forward another 16 hours of so with mixed play on £2/£4/£5 stakes depending on the balance on bonanza and F C and I’m only £5k away from beating wagering at which point it all goes to pot and its like I’m playing on Sky again and waiting 600 spins or so for a bonus and when it does come it’s in the 10-40x range.

Needless to say, I busted soon after. Coincidence that I ran really well when using bonus money and then ran bad when in distance of completing wagering? Being a rational and logically brained person I guess it’s just pure luck, but there’s always that niggling doubt that says it was too good to be true!

This afternoon I deposited at 21 Casino, £250 + £300 bonus. Smashed in a bonus on bonanza at £2/spin within 60 spins and got 185x. Decided to try fishing frenzy megaways at £2/spin and the bonus dropped in after 12 spins! 15 free spins later it paid roughly 280x! Spoke to the live chat to confirm I could forfeit my £300 bonus and withdraw £1k cash and withdrew. Fingers crossed it goes through ok. Just couldn’t face trying to beat 35x wagering again after the ups and downs of the previous day.

Does something untoward trigger in your account when you accept a bonus!? Who knows! Felt that way at times, but variance is variance, maybe I would’ve had the same results if I’d have done my usual and deposited at Sky, maybe I wouldn’t…

    Bump

It’s all been explained in this thread. The answer is no – nothing untoward happens. Each spin is random etc. Reread the thread for the detail.

Just basics just loves creating drama so ignore his input.

Just Basics used 120ish words to say he loves conspiracy theories and his judgement is bad, ergo everyone else’s judgement is bad because they use the same reasoning as he does.

He hilariously states that laws are made to be broken or changed as if he lives in a movie rather than they are made to be followed. He also claims that CTs are made to be debunked/laughed at /proved rather than to misdirect or create a following, earn someone money.. I mean seriously… You might think he uses few words but with them he doesn’t say anything of any substance or meaning.

Argyl53 used 130ish words to dismantle just basics and awesomex posts of utter drivel. Coherent and amusing.

Honestly the difference between the posts content is like the difference between a child drawing scribbles on the wall with crayons vs an adult writing logic with a pen on paper.

Follow just basics and awesomex and their nonsense all the way to the end and you’ll see the following – it doesn’t matter or change your situation:

The world is flat – it doesn’t change my life in any way at all

We are all drones in a prison we can’t see – what am I supposed to do about this? Feel sad? I can’t change it.

So it’s not only utter nonsense but a complete waste of your time and energy.

This feels like a call out thread.

Hard to garner the energy to refute such baseless nonsense day after day after day. Props to those of you who do.

For the record there isn’t a fine line between critical thinking and nutcase. That’s complete and utter twaddle.

    Critical thinking relies on facts.

Conspiracy theories, like religion, rely on feels.
