Yes she is an addict. She was distraught that she had done it and she made a list of all the casinos she could find so she could email them and self exclude from the ones that Gam ban doesn’t cover.
Since she has regularly offered that list to other people in similar situations so they can also self exclude.
People sometimes have to hit rock bottom to realise their problem and I’m sure wb will read your comment and it will be like a punch in the gut to remember what she did. Stop with the ad homenim.
I agree that wb is a force for good on this forum. I don’t read it religiously but she always offers heartfelt advice to people and is a kind person, unlike me haha.

For what it’s worth I agree with you argyl. Long term hope to bump the affiliate income tho otherwise just set it up for those who are registered at the time of the draw.

I think that it’s a bit naive to not accept that part of the idea of the giveaway was to generate new sign ups to the site otherwise he could have just given the money away to people who were registered at the time of the announcement.
That being said I’m not having a go at the bandit, it is what it is. Yes it was generous of him etc but obviously part of the idea behind it was to generate more traffic to the site to perhaps get more people signing up using the affiliate links. It’s business, defend his character and generosity all you want and I’ll agree with you but let’s not bury our heads in the sand.

This whole thing is a flustercluck. I’d have liked to win 3 grand, fuck knows if I’d have been eligible for it tho as I gave my name as Aaron Banks when I joined as he’s a prize cunt too.
Still it cost me nothing to enter and I can move on, the cunts who have joined more than once are exactly that, cunts. Shame on you all. I’m on gamban so don’t enter the other draws but what exactly is in place to stop them being abused as well? Like I said I didn’t use my real name when I signed up to here and I used a very old email address as at the time I had no idea how my info might be used so if I had won one of the other draws would I have been disqualified for using a fake name? If not then the draws are all open to abuse.

Well said haz. I’m the same, although it’s only very rarely that I feel a want to gamble. Very glad gamstop exists, wish it had 20 years ago .
1I gamstopped myself for 5 years 6 months ago. One of the best things I’ve ever done. If they had a lifetime option I’d have chosen it. Some people can have a flutter and enjoy doing it and it never affects them negatively. I’ve discovered I’m not one of those people and from the sound of it you’re not either.
Fortunately for me my problem was always online and I have no inclination to go into a bookies or a casino and blow a load.
I can relate to the Xmas thing tho..I suspect it boils down to poor wiring in the brain, there’s already financial stress on most people around Xmas and a gambler sees an opportunity to make it more stressful for themselves. Obviously we think we are going to make Xmas great again but the reality is we risk a perfectly decent Xmas to end up with a miserable one.
Losing family around Xmas is a terrible thing as you are constantly reminded of your loss at this time of year for a sustained period of time. I’d suggest talking to someone, a sibling or a friend and leaving your bank cards at home so you can’t throw away any more money.
