    Listen,

Fair enough some are sceptical, fair enough I maybe worded posts wrong and didn’t accept help at the time. Sometimes it was just nice to have a social impact with people and talk about my problems.

Im lost from gambling years ago financially, yes. Personal issues and all sorts. Maybe I’m an over thinker and bring it on myself, who knows. I don’t want all this, sorry if I have annoyed anyone honestly.

yeah stepchange told me they have no legal right to enter but sadly I live with my mum and she’s stressed that I’ve bought stress to her door. They may have no legal right but still do it.

I don’t deserve the posts someone made about socks though, that’s harsh. Everyone has issues yeah, but usually have people to speak with. I don’t so maybe I’ve used the forum to people I don’t know to do this but I mean no harm

Hold your Horses Ollie I made the post and it’s genuine I have really lost some bloody socks!!

You should know I have tried to help you loads via text email etc .

I will say it again I think your genuine and I’m glad your posting and I hope you take the help offered.

im not a super human, I’m not wealthy, I’m just a normal human.

but if I can help him then I’ll be happy too.

if it was all a massive ploy then it’s my loss and I’ll learn from it going forwards.

but you have to treat every situation differently, you can’t tar everyone with the same brush.

Its not that were tarring everyone with the same brush, this guy clearly has issues but I for one can see straight through the crap with him.

I dont want you to have to get burnt by this guy, thats the only reason theres any doubt.

How are you so so sure?

I find it AMAZING your a Social Worker to be honest yes you might well be correct but you might well be wrong. How the hell are you being impartial?

I hope so. I’m one of the first to offer help and even offered money in the past. The blanks do need filling in but I know payday loan companies do not operate in the way described. One question though you said she. Maybe wrong for assuming he ?

Typo he is definitely a he

Well I guess all we can do is wait and see, I’m sure she will read this and then maybe fill in all the blanks.

    Haz

I guess his main priority is (rightly) the debt and if he has indeed been told by Stepchange that he has to pay the first amount then he can restructure that’s what I would be concentrating on I feel.

I agree with ALL the scepticism I really do, I have seen many many threads on here when Steve has randomly been very kind, I also I agree that he made a rod for his own back, and the posts that followed were frankly silly (my first ever post on here after evening on here for ages was about this topic if you care to look)

But I honestly think this is a genuine cry for help.

A genuine cry for help that he doesnt ever accept?

Maybe he is trying to accept it?

Maybe after reading all the negative comments he is retisant?

Your a social worker are you not? Surely your use to people backing themselves in a corner, with no visible way out?

Or are all your cases “clear cut”

Haz asked why make this post Andy?

I answered he never would have made the post without my input, and indeed if there was a PM facility, I’m sure he would have gone down that route.

Anyway i still stand by it’s a genuine cry for help, I maybe wrong of course.

But to get grief on the post he made is wrong I feel, especially as it was NOT his idea.

Hello mate read my above post it answers your question!!!!

I think maybe some are being a tad harsh on the lad, I have spoken to him via text quite a lot since his post, he seems to me genuine enough an has never once asked me to bail him out of borrow money. He asked me how he can contact “Superlou” a he wanted to speak to him, as there is no private message facility on this forum ( why is that Bandit,Speedy,Spider ?)

I suggested the only way to maybe contact him was to put a post up, so if people want to have a go at me it’s fine, but don’t go mad at the lad.

I fully understand poeple saying they are in more debt etc, but last time I looked there is not a competition to see who is in the most debt currently running is there?

He is young and stuck and worried all perfectly acceptable in my book, I’m 44 an ex Heroin addict an ex gambler and lots of shit, I got myself out of my problems, but we are all different aren’t we?

Yes of course we might be having the wool pulled over our eyes, I feel we are not though on this occasion.

Well I’m glad you are feeling better buddy. I look at life differently now than I did say 25 years ago ( yes I’m old lol ) doing the job I do has helped me tremendously, when you work and have done for 20 years with people who have been dealt a really bad hand in life, you sort of question life a little, and realise it really is not that bad, yes at times we all get low or depressed but as has been said on here many times you can get out of it with help and determination.

I have respect that you had the balls to post and ask for advice and help, especially in the current climate on here where with it seems certain people are posting hard luck stories as they see how generous Steve has been, there will always be people who try i guess.

As I said to you early via text I will give you a bell tonight for a proper chat, you have my number now so feel free to ring or text anytime, and I will do my upmost to help.

    Keep smiling
