I had a bit of a run-in with Bet365 CS over chat earlier. I had self-excluded from everything a couple of years’ ago apart from sports – fair enough, I was a bit of a roulette fiend at the time so that worked for me. However, as a result of this, they also capped my deposit limits at the same time to £500 / month. Not a problem…..
….. wind forward two years. I was off out on the beers last month so put limits on (£25, £50, £100) to avoid any stupidity whilst drunk (for a change). It then became clear that Bet365 do not allow you to adjust your limits upwards as you are considered a problem-gambler for self-excluding. The guy, Joe, on chat just insisted that I phone them up and be patronised down the phone about responsible gambling.
Totally politely, I pointed out that I would take my business elsewhere as I did not want to be told how to behave with my hard-earned. Either, he re-instated the ability for me to change my limits back to the £500/month, he changed the limits himself or he closed my account and confirmed by email. I said I would not discuss further and did say “Thank you for your time” before ending the chat session.
Account is now restricted. Maybe I should throw the GDPR “Right to be forgotten” at Joe ? 🙂 Or, perhaps, I’ll leave things for another three years until the other self-exclusions expire and then see whether they have changed their processes (or gone out of business for being too patronising)

Well fuck me here we are, a genuine fuckwit in the wild… Obviously you haven’t listened or you’d know he’s away due to family issues which obviously come first, and he has topped reel king in the mean time, if you go on twitter.
Did the lack of bandit content really cause you so much upset you had to go and complain on his site despite the absence being explained to you? Or are you just a sour cunt
Sipping bleach is better than water for some people, I reckon.
Is it bad that I read this in David attenborough’s voice???
I’ve just reread using your suggestion and now my lovely laptop is sprayed with Lucozade !!
(Yes!! – you pervs. …. Lucozade !…. not bleach though…. that’s for insensitive ignoramuses and toilets)
Thanks for the laugh WB.
I do really hope that the reverse button is something they look at during their crack down on absolutely every other angle of online slotting in the UK, if pressing “withdraw” isn’t a big enough signal that you want that money back in your bank, i don’t know what is. We all know what will happen if they do remove it though don’t we….. withdrawals will become instant…. so it’s right back in your bank IMMEDIATELY and ready to be redeposited again…. sigh.
I think withdrawals need to be at the quickest 24 hours. You have had time to get away from the session and chill out and then your money drops, if you want to go back at that point then that is your choice eh
There are some casinos that let you lock in your withdrawal . The amount of money I’ve won big from bonus wagering then lost due to reversal frightens me till this day
Yep – got onto Live Chat with William Hill yesterday. No fuss, asked me whether I was “Having problems with gambling?” etc. Simply said that it was too tempting sometimes after a couple of beers.
Now, no option to reverse 🙂 – I wish I had known that years’ ago !

Hehe – I did it though. Now, I just need to get that ruddy Bonanza soundtrack out of my brain !!!
I’m not sure how that would work. The casino’s don’t own most of the slots you play on. So unless you’re saying the casinos and the game hosts are in some joint venture to give new punters a better ride, but I don’t see why they would.
If that is the case, then you’ve surely just found a way to bankrupt every casino in the country?
I believe that the casinos can choose the ‘risk’ (RTP) from the game provider which is provided by different (insert variables here). I am only quoting what I have read on CM but it makes sense to prey on weaknesses that are legal. I used to get free ciggies from one of my local pubs and it cost me a small fortune to give the buggers up !
I agree. They do need to get you hooked one way or another. They know who you are, how long you have been around, stakes, free-mode, etc.
I guess, as long as they don’t adjust payouts BELOW the stated RTP or manipulate the ‘black-box’ RNG then it’s kosher with the regs. I wonder whether streamers are in permanent RTP+6% mode sometimes so they don’t give up trying to demo bonuses out of sheer frustration ?? Whether they know this is, however, doubtful.
Not having a dig Steve, there’s more bollox in St James’ Palace at the moment for a change. *grins*

I do play at Billy Hill’s and they do have the anti-money-laundering deposit/withdrawal process in place as well as the extended withdrawal times compared to others. It’s a pain when I have a big win on a Friday and have to put a timeout on until Sunday so I don’t get tempted. I do get bombarded with the ‘Responsible Gambling’ rubbish because I do that but, over the last seven years, I am still on at them to introduce withdrawal lockdown (or immediate payout like Sky) or to have the wonderful wagering limits of Videoslots so I don’t roast the winnings back tooo quickly if I get drunk or reckless (or both)
No luck so far. I disagree that they are holding onto cash for interest. More like preying on our gullibility and greed not to reverse. The withdrawal times do reflect the type of deposits though so the above comments about “where does you bankroll come from?” are quite sound. WH delays credit card payments longer than to PayPal or bank account.
They should still KYC before deposits – hurry up with that one UKGC.
I managed one bonus before Leo stopped me depositing again like they did on Holy Diver, i fucking hate Leo Vegas.
What did they do that ? You didn’t rage at them on-stream did you ? Or was it a 5000x win and they lost their bottle ? 😀
We have a lot of impulsive behaviour in our family tree but it spans gambling, smoking, drinking an on the plus side some bizarre on the spur life choices that have turned out for the positive – hobbies, job choices.
We have some that we don’t associate with though otherwise we’d want to just play Bonanza just for the soundtrack which would be more riveting by comparison to some of our lot.
Now that they can screen certain types of DNA, I can just see the obstetrician turning to the prospective parents and saying it’s a 50% chance that your child will be a casino -whale. Would you like to gamble on that ? 🙂
Good question OP
19th March 2019 at 12:30 pm in reply to: Cash outs – what’s the longest you’be been made wait? #53648I quite often put in a 2/3 day timeout at W’Hills as I tend to play roulette / slots and then put a percentage of profit on Sports. If I deposit on the Friday, the withdrawals won’t purge until Sunday night and I’m too tempted by the reversal option. They have me sussed with that bloody reverse button.
(Also stops me cashing in the sports bets early too)
There’s a super thread on this on CM https://www.casinomeister.com/forums/threads/ask-me-anything-about-slots.77569/ (Hope it’s okay to post this)
It goes for over ninety pages on the same debate about RNG being somehow accessible but it also gives greater depth into the relationship between punters, casinos, game providers (or platform hosts), acceptable risks and what is controlled by whom.
Fascinating reading and, from what I gather from that thread and Argyle’s brilliant dice-analogy, RTP can be pre-written into the game and agreed between the game provider and casino beforehand but cannot be changed ad-hoc as it changes the ‘approved mathematics’ of the game that would then need to be re-approved before release. Being a programmer myself, I trust the auditability of code/hashtables and simple, plain business-sense. Why risk anything when the maths is in your favour ?
There’s also amusement from ‘TourettesGuy’ and many mentions of ‘Tinfoil Hats’. Anyway, if Bandit doesn’t remove the external link above, have a good read. Apologies if this is already linked elsewhere,

Don’t stress it Steve, If I spunk it all away, you certainly don’t get a pearl necklace, do you ?? (I have been reading VIZ for decades so I hope you understand where that comment is coming from).
We have to make some of our own decisions. I choose to watch your streams because you make me laugh big time. I’m a lurker on three:
Dunover – Miserable bastard who has a budget akin to mine and reminds me of Warren Clarke meets Alf Garnett
Rocknrolla – Carefree psychopath who like nice Rum, £40/spin wagers and supports a crap football team and lives in a black chair by a window
Bandit – Humourous Northern person who appears on charity streams with masks. Sounds like Steve Penk and bottles and gets his wife to do the pivotal gambles

You missed off Diana 🙂
http://www.serendipity.li (safe for work) The controlled demolition of WTC1 / WTC2 and WTC7 in particular…… Arghh…… I’m off again buts it makes fascinating reading.
Agree JB. Careful with bypassing those MW Oven door-sensors unless you were planning on decapitating yourself and then getting someone else to do the honours.
