Yes mate, it’s actually been easier than I thought, a lot of it was boredom slotting, so I wasn’t actually as bad as I thought I was I just literally had nothing better to do. I would quite like to try some of the new games out there though, I’ll throw away £20 I suppose but it won’t hurt anywhere near as much as it used to!

I haven’t slotted in what feels like forever, I just took all spare money out of the bank to stop the temptation of the odd tenner etc,. But I would quite like to put £20 in and have a try of some new games, nothing in reality to what I won and I know that I can’t be tempted to take it further and deposit more

I actually agree with this. It’d be off the cards for me anyway as it’s a good few hours drive, but even then organising something like that on a public forum, you just can’t trust everyone.

I get that it’s nice to meet your fans and that, for the most part, there are a lot of genuine people on here. But opening it up to everyone, I don’t know, I’d be nervous!

Personally, I know it’s hard work and time costly, but I’d email a handful of forumers you’d like to go, or you’d like to get to know better and organise something from there, that way at least there’s some kind of vetting process, especially when so many trolls are joining here lately! 🙂

The thing with gambling is, it’s bollocks.

Not enough is done to help those who are addicted or have beaten the addiction. They banned alcohol advertisements because of the negative impact they were having on children, but 80% of adverts of TV are encouraging men and women in the UK to gamble. It’s just wrong.

Youre watching the football, there’s adverts for the latest odds, the programme continues, the players walk out, they squeeze another advert in before kick-off. Rinse and repeat.

 

Imagine being a former addict addict and then seeing these adverts plastered all over your screen. It’d be enough to drive anyone insane. They’re even advertising bingo constantly to women before the soaps etc. It’s advertised on daytime television. You just can’t get away from it, it needs to stop.

18+ products should be a ‘if you know about it’ thing and that’s it. It shouldn’t be advertised and normalised as much as it is.

So what I will say is, echoing previous posts, feeing sorry for yourself is ok at first, we all need to do a bit of self reflection now and again, it’s all part of the rebuilding process 🙂
