We don’t live in a world of absolute certainty and you can only go by your confidence in the evidence that is laid before you and the credibility of the sources of said evidence.
Logically, we base our beliefs on the evidence that manifests us in the reality we experience, but ultimately, we could be wrong.
IMO – go with the evidence but remember that everyone thought the sun revolved around the earth many years ago and ultimately were wrong.
