I disagree but as I can see where this is going, I’ll bow out….. again.

To quote you mate “I’ll collect at £768” as you press collect, error. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

More to the point, what happens if something so simple as the next goes down at such a point ? Game state given back at point of gamble collect choice ? Can someone test this ? I’m not playing right now so I can’t.

I can honestly say I’ve never gone 1000+ spins on anything without a bonus. That’s because I would never stay on anything for so long. How do you people not get bored? Generally 300 would be my max on anything.

With regards the zero bonus thing, sorry but if you’re playing a game you know can pay nothing once bonusing and then get annoyed when it does, well you’ve only got yourself to blame. Pinning your hopes on 1000x bonuses is very often going to end in disappointment.

    1. Boredom is a thing hence why these things usually happen over multiple sessions. Although they don’t have to as can be seen by Bandit and others.

    2. The pinning of hopes is natural for any decent win, an overall profit and or some fun time playing. At no point have I even suggested that the cruelty comes from having 3 spins at 20p on DHV and it not funding a mansion.

    Geezawin, bonus ! 😀 lmao

Argyl, I can list copious amounts of slots that are not high volatility and pay zero on a bonus. Many if not all of them can empty the pockets of three people before paying a bonus too.

A friend of mine went on SV with their free £10 and won over £350 on diamond mine. The wagering was a lot and they got fed up with it so I offered to complete it so they passed me their login and I did it cashed out £300. They had to make a deposit so they had a registered payment method verified for the withdrawal. Pity they got rid of DOND (original box game) cause it was quite good for wagering. 400 spins on these things without a bonus is totally shite but so regular.

I’m gonna stick to they lied to you. They know the error was more than “we don’t know it was an error therefore the game is void”. Good of you to take it on the chin as you probably feel like i would in that they are a law unto themselves with that error in favour of the casino every time clause.

Which means they are calling you a liar. They are saying you had clicked gamble on the £5.60. If you know (i’m not being suggestive here, just blatantly honest) you didn’t click it, then so do they. You could have clicked it and they never got the packet of data so then they wouldn’t know either. But you can’t not click it and they get the data saying you did. The discon message doesn’t necessarily mean you or the server software interacted other than keeping a connection alive.

Technically speaking the server connection failed. At what point though ? Not that you or I would know. Actually…..

Did the client software (you) click gamble ? Yes
Did the server respond with a decision ? The client software shows the result so that would obviously be Yes
    Then we see the disconnection.

Can the game state be returned ? I don’t know. Maybe not depending on the error and recorded game state and if that can be recalled to the client software. If not, you should be awarded the proven win state ie the gamble that had won.

No doubt they have returned your spin stake and nothing else, because they can.

    (generally)

    There. That word right there.

In the context you use it, like low volatility slots are more great than not. Low volatility slots can and do take the piss. Often. Sure, I concede that higher volatility slots kill more to make room for higher payouts but even that is a must in theory, not proven to us as players. We have no proof. We can be shown data sheets but they can be bs. No doubt I can predict another forum member to run in soon and fire unapologetic insults again because they work in the industry and we can’t have people speaking how they feel now can we (That’s not a question).

I don’t even know why the word random was bought into this since in the context of this whole thread, random is redundant because we are talking about an overall aspect not specific spins or sets of spins. We’re talking (See quote) generally about how cruel slots can be.

Right, let’s get Bandit to do a give away but not release what the prizes are.

Right. Argyl, out of 200 people, you came 5th and won £50.
Right, Geeza, out of the remaining people you can fourth and won a big mac meal.
Right, Where’s JB ? JB came 3rd and won a years supply of hobnobs.
Right, Eightblack, you came 2nd and won a decade long subscription to private eye.
And last of all, are you ready for this ? Mr B, you came first and won….. you won’t believe this :

    FUCK ALL !!!!!

While some people might find that all funny, surely any normal person can see that is a cruel giveaway.

    It’s not rocket science.

The industry designed the dishing out of “cruel”. I whole heartedly agree with bandit. SHOVE YOUR BONUS UP YOUR ARSE.

    🙂

Well if it’s all on the player (ffs) then we want 200%rtp guaranteed per play session. [rollseyes]

This thread isn’t limited to high volatility when low volatility has already been exampled as just a shit at times. This thread also isn’t about me so ditch the personal aspect when other people including Bandit feel the same way as stated in post one.

The reality is when a slot regardless of volatility level takes a dickhead amount of money to then bonus – what a relief – and then pay  a few pennies or indeed nothing, that is utterly shite and there is no need for it. It is cruel.

Yes, I am here again saying something bad about the industry, in agreement with bandit. You come back with “it’s on the player”. No it isn’t. The player has no say on how a slot is going to perform which is obvious. And the “random” thing is not gonna wash either because we proved (even though this is ignored) that slots are profit over random, regardless of how random is implemented worse, this has absolutely nothing to do with random, it is to do with giving a player nothing for a thousand spins and then giving a bonus (repeating myself here to relentlessly drive home the point again) that then pays nothing.

Cruel. Randomly cruel ? Designed cruel ? who cares. It’s cruel.

It’s not a bad point though.  Why not just play a slot with a guaranteed bonus?  In my opinion it’s a little unfair to expect a slot to be able to pay 1000’s of times your bet, but also pay alright on a normal bonus?  Oh and also expect that bonus to be within x spins?

I don’t think you can have it all.

I think as we are seasoned players, some of us with multiple decades of playing it is fair to say we fully know and have indeed mentioned RTP/profit. The point is about how horrific the rationing can be to the point where it’s bad enough people take a loss but to even give them a bonus that pays nothing just adds insult to injury and is nothing but cruel. “I’d rather it ddin’t bonus” – because it gets your hopes up to then leave you come crashing mentally down.

Further more, there is no reason why they can’t space out the high payouts more to ease the beatings that the rest get.

    When the fun starts… etc

I have to side with Bandit on this one. Making a slot give a zero bonus is utterly disappointing. Now put 1,000’s of spins before it finally drops. Cap’t Bob took over 1,000 spins from me to eventually bonus and pay £19. That’s disgusting. Fisherman Franky took 1,000’s to bonus and paid £0.00. Erm, s’cuse me mr slot designer, come here, I’d like a gun butting word in your ear.

It doesn’t matter who says what, what I have just said can’t be invalidated. I support bandit in this notion. Pissed off players are pissed off players. I remember years ago a £5 jackpoter went over £100 without a jackpot. It runs every few months for £25 – £40. We’re not allowed to say that’s proof that 92% RTP is a lie. Even if your local arcade is a community centre for 3 decades.

Fact is, the player is rightly pissed off. The game designer knowingly caused that.
