Actually a contract is a contract and anyone making stuff up along the way is liable to being sued and depending on what the judge sees and determines is fitting, could cost a liar everything. I can’t for example sit here and say I just made up a Mr B tax style payment from you is now due whence your withdrawal is complete. You haven’t agreed to that before hand, in any documentable way.

Why not end the trauma for yourself now and make sure you have not broken any rules. Since chat logs show you were given a green light you should be ok but even I sense some room for doubt. I do agree with the sentiment that you could maybe look at adding a moderator. Of course, it has to be someone you can trust which is always going to be the core issue. Maybe as some sort of auto detect for keywords and a way to hold threads for moderation on that basis so they have to be authorised to go public. WP is truly brilliant but also a pain in the backside.
