Always hated that term Brexit …. something so important and dangerous chopped down to a love island moron ”portmanteaus “ ……………………….. ( fuck yes portmanteaus……… five coffees kicking in now )
Thumbs up from me. I thought it just meant a travelling bag
“ I thought it meant travel bag” ????….
see gambling and education can be fun …
Well from your laughing response it seems you will also learn something. Unless I’m very much mistaken a portmanteau is also a bag. It has french etymology and was adopted into English during the sixteenth century. Not so commonly used these days, as travel gear has moved on a bit. 🙂

1He’s currently serving a two week YouTube ban. Seems to have transgressed some rule – which appears to be incredibly easy to do. He should be back this weekend I would think. Probably nearing the end of the ban by now.
1Sadly mate he’s already married, so you will have to try another way to get rid of her 🙂
11Okay matey here’s some real reviews from people who have actually worked for the company.
UBER:

OTA:

You may need to register on the site to access the reviews and I haven’t read through the to check how useful they are. Glassdoor is usually very good though as people can vent anonymously about their employer without fear of repercussions.
Well you don’t see that often – an apology on the internet. Fair play to you matey, I’m sure Birdy will forgive you 🙂
This is what the blurb says:
“REQUIREMENTS : Sign up to Betfair through the link above and have a bash on the slots! You will be required to provide your Betfair email to enter this draw via the website. Simply become active by making a deposit at any point in the active month.”
So you need to use Bandit’s link and be active during the month of December.
There are upsides to this. You haven’t blown the family budget for the month and you have a chunk of cash left over. This is a far better place than many of the posts on this forum.
Maybe this will give you the kick up the arse you need to stop. Just don’t gamble – ever again. If you don’t then the £1200 you just blew to get you to that point will be the best money you’ve ever spent. Think of it as an investment in your future happiness. Gambling free :).
p.s. I’ve never gambled and so don’t really understand the addiction. But ultimately it’s a choice, even though it may be very much harder than I’m making out. Gamban is your friend (I believe).
1As the OP I have learned a few things since posting. Mainly from you eejit to be honest.
Now I feel slightly embarrassed by this thread. But there’s a load of info here which will help others see the light as far as Rosh is concerned, so I am, on balance, happy for it to stay. If you don’t know anything about how the casino business works, it all seems fairly plausible – at least superficially.
@eejit101. I have no doubt that what you say is correct and thanks for your detailed answer.
I would guess that the second scenario is the most likely and as you say, he must be making a damn fortune. I would expect he is playing with funded accounts and the reason for this is he always shows his deposit and withdraws. If any transactions are made to/from an account that he doesn’t have direct access to then there is minimal risk to the casino. They can just top it up each day with a few thousand and he’s good to go.
There is one shred of evidence to back up his claims – the fact that two casinos recently increased his wagering requirements from 30 to 35x. But this could also be explained by him hitting his max cashout limit too often. I’m sure the casinos monitor every euro.
If this is true, it’s diabolical. How many donkeys would see him cashing out 100k from an 8k deposit and think they can do the same thing? How many lives have been ruined…
I have never gambled and never will, but I can understand that to someone with a problem this could be irresistible.
@eejit101: Forgive me for being slow… So if Rosh cashes out 100k, how much do you think he would likely get? What would be the deductions?
Happy new year to all I’m on recovery row now lol hope you all had a good night. I’m going to roll back over and sleep
Another year of trolling, coming your way lad.
We must set 91 a challenge ………any ideas
Go a whole week without calling someone a c***? 🙂
Thanks Winningbird. I now have a wonderful wife who has slowly kept me sane and generally improved things over the past ten years. Prior to that I was a mess and it has been a life long struggle with depression due to some very dubious parenting and possibly bad gene selection.
But as I say, I’m proud to have made it though the worst of it. Each year is better than the last and now I don’t wake up each day wishing I hadn’t woken up :). If I can get through, then there is hope for anyone. I have a good brain and, like yourself, a kindly nature – both of which seem to have been pivotal to my survival. The brain helped me have a successful career despite the demons, the kindly nature allowed me to forgive – or at least let it all go. Carrying around a bunch of resentment just keeps you stuck in a bad place.
Best of luck to all that are going through shite times.
1Mental health is such a bastard. You’re not wrong. It’s been almost a year since I last went doolally and that’s going some for me. @Jamhoody. Hope you can take some comfort in knowing you’re not alone – there are loads of us crazy buggers about, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a good, rewarding life the rest of the time.
Proud to still be standing after 50 years of battling the demons 🙂
