What a splendid idea. And as a gambling community, you lot could bet on the first cow to explode – or the last one standing. 🙂
@Btcal. Yeah scandal and drama we don’t need. It would have caused a total shit storm.
@Btcal. Matey I can’t believe anyone needs to be told that making hundreds of accounts isn’t acceptable. It’s blindingly obvious. And you can be damn sure you could have spelled that out and it would have still happened. I’m aware of nothing that could have been done to prevent it.
1Genuine question, I’ve been lurking around here for some time and remember some of the embarrassingly not subtle at all begging messages people used to write on here when Bandit used to give money randomly. With that in mind and advertising a free giveaway of £6,000 on an international platform, was he really that naive to think people wouldn’t increase their odds by opening multiple accounts and that everyone would play nice and fairly? What he chooses to do with his affiliate money is up to him, so no complaints it’s going to charity, but honestly, no one saw this coming?
I didn’t. You see if you are honest then these sort of underhand tactics just don’t occur to you. I was staggered that anyone would have done this. Maybe that is naive but the people I usually mix with don’t cheat each other, and the regular forum members here may get a bit arsey sometimes and almost all have gambling issues, but they are a fundamentally honest bunch.
1It’s an appalling and quite unbelievable reaction. There really are some sick muppets about. I now feel depressed and can only imagine how Steve feels. It would make me want to pack it all in. He certainly doesn’t earn enough from affiliation to make it worth this sort of hassle.
3I’m in agreement with Seyahkram here. You didn’t win and any payment was made in error. If they had taken money from you under similar “mistaken” conditions you would be demanding it back, and rightly so.
Played this for a few months and got to level 5 before stopping. I realized that like all Blizzard games you would need to devote your life to becoming skilled enough to reach the highest level. It’s also very strategic (plus a small amount of RNG) and requires significant mental resources. Following a hard day at work the neurons are usually worn out and I’m just too knackered to think straight.
I get mad crazes on things. Done most stuff – running, World of Warcraft (Exalted with all factions), Hearthstone, poker (with play money – got millions of the stuff at one point), piano, karate / kung fu and of course work. Despite being only averagely intelligent I managed to finish top of my year at a red brick university due to the total obsession to outperform every other bugger.
My motto has always been “It’s not enough to succeed everyone else must fail as well.” It’s happened on rare occasions and there’s no feeling like it :). A definite personality issue as my drive leaves little time for fun. Currently my obsession is watching on-line slots and battle replays for Total War. I’ve pissed away so much time over the past couple of years doing this. When focused I’ve always thought I could see through a brick wall given enough time – not brilliant but damn persistent.
The addictive immersion allows me to escape from real life, which I find a little overwhelming sometimes due to long term abuse. Fortunately most of the stuff I’ve done hasn’t been destructive – but that’s just been a matter of luck and marrying the right woman of course :).
1@Seedy. Totally understand matey you had no choice. The guy was very abusive and there’s no need for that.
@Haz. Now then matey – lets talk about my £1 sterling 🙂
Seedy that made me smile. I did like him a bit though – he was entertaining.
