I believe you are legally required to return the money, although I can’t find a source to reference. If it was just a tenner, then you would probably get away with it as the casino probably wouldn’t be arsed to chase it. Not the case for 1500e though.

Sounds like you have tried everything you can.

I have a normal paperwhite and every three months or so it refuses to turn on. As Haz says you need to hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds (longer in my experience) until the sucker boots. If that fails then I would guess that the thing isn’t charging properly and the battery is dead. With a totally dead battery, it takes at least an hour to get sufficient charge to come back to life. But if it’s not charging then it’s likely buggered properly.

Whilst charging there should be a small green light shining. If that isn’t lit then maybe try a different usb cable.

It’s quite simple lads. Seedy asked for JB (and others) to keep the chat clean as he needed some time with his family. JB then posted some personal stuff, which to be fair did seem fairly contentious, especially to the more cynical. This was unwise, but not out of character.

Then itsneverme lept on this calling him out, making some rather nasty personal accusations. As you can imagine JB didn’t take this on the chin and it all descended into a bit of insanity. Seedy gets back and bans them both. End of (I hope).

@thunderball6. I agree matey. At least a long period of suspension. I read far more than I post here but am constantly irritated by the drama that seems to follow him, most of which he stirs up himself. Now I really believe he doesn’t intend to start most of the squabbles, but his reactions to posts are almost always over the top.

I’m also genuinely concerned for his wellbeing, as he does seem to make some very bad decisions, and has little insight into his behavior. He states that he has, but demonstrates almost every day that he doesn’t. Ultimately this is a gambling forum, not a helpline, and it probably is close to the time to part ways. Maybe it would be for the best all-round.

@WestVirginiaUSA. Thank you for taking the time to appraise yourself of the nuances of the Queen’s English. As we Brit’s invented it we do rather own the copyright, and do on occasion like to exercise a little poetic license when addressing certain delicate matters. You may find the following list of help when talking to a proper English speaker over here in the free world.

1. The Old Man – often a phrase used when consulting a female practitioner, or on the very rare occasions, you need to discuss such personal issues with the wife or family.
2. The One Eyed Trouser Snake – only used when out on the piss or trying to impress your girlfriend.
3. Beaver Basher – Never to be used in female company. A guarantee you won’t be getting any oats tonight.
4. The Bishop – Originally used by younger members of the Roman Catholic clergy getting too much attention from their boss. Now occasionally used down the pub, but only by those drinking wine.
5. King Cobra – To use this you have to be very confident of your holdings, else you may be found out in the gents.

There are probably a couple of hundred other colloquialisms available. Try to slowly integrate the above into your ever-day vocabulary and come back for more when you feel more confident in their usage.

Related synonyms would be Jap’s Eye (used by the Bandit in an old vid) and Banjo String as in “My God that girl was so tight I almost bust my Banjo String.” It’s a painful experience and I have known it to happen.

If this is for real and a casino refunds a player cash on the basis of an accusation, then it is 99% certain they are trying to buy him off.

You could say this is an individual dealer, but if so what is their motivation? I’m no JB fan but on the back of this I have to say that there could easily be a bubble in the casino industry that could be about to burst. Maybe JB is right and we are all being taken for mugs. Where there’s money there’s corruption. Always has been and probably always will be.

No JB that’s just your state of mind. This is probably only the second time I’ve replied to you on any thread. If I’m honest I’ve started to respond on maybe six occasions before thinking better of it. The first time I upset you. This time was more of a joke. Sorry if you have lost your sense of humour, but you dish out enough and should be able to take a small amount back.
