    Ive been there.

im not a super human, I’m not wealthy, I’m just a normal human.

but if I can help him then I’ll be happy too.

if it was all a massive ploy then it’s my loss and I’ll learn from it going forwards.

but you have to treat every situation differently, you can’t tar everyone with the same brush.

Its not that were tarring everyone with the same brush, this guy clearly has issues but I for one can see straight through the crap with him.

I dont want you to have to get burnt by this guy, thats the only reason theres any doubt.

How are you so so sure?

I find it AMAZING your a Social Worker to be honest yes you might well be correct but you might well be wrong. How the hell are you being impartial?

From the numerous threads hes created and turned down multiple offers of help? Is this not enough?

    To sum this up:

Post about being fined 600 quid at work – advice given that this can’t be taken from your wages. Never heard anything after that but he was happy to pay the fine.

Laptop and tv broke – offered a free laptop and kindle. Never heard anything

Can’t pay DPM – offers to pay the initial payment of 486 and lots of advice and guidance given. Never heard back and we still don’t know if it’s been paid.

Asks for help – a plethora of guidance offered. Asked to provide full story so we can get a holistic overview of what’s going on and offer help. Doesnt want to. Never heard back.

My comments may come across as harsh and non caring but as previously stated by andy, the whole story stinks of disingenuinity. Being a social worker youd think Id care more but I cant help people who arent willing to help themselves.

I agree with ALL the scepticism I really do, I have seen many many threads on here when Steve has randomly been very kind, I also I agree that he made a rod for his own back, and the posts that followed were frankly silly (my first ever post on here after evening on here for ages was about this topic if you care to look)

But I honestly think this is a genuine cry for help.

A genuine cry for help that he doesnt ever accept?

Maybe he is trying to accept it?

Maybe after reading all the negative comments he is retisant?

Your a social worker are you not? Surely your use to people backing themselves in a corner, with no visible way out?

Or are all your cases “clear cut”

There were no negative comments on his first ask for help, infact he was offered help from numerous people, and yeah im a social worker but for the elderly so its really a different ball game

Feels to my like its just the attention this guy wants, not advice. Who knows if he’s genuinely in this situation, we may never know.

Usually after he creates a thread he goes quiet for a few days, so we’ll wait til the next one.

It was in the house, still a personal issue too. Not something I want to post on here really.

Dont really understand this? Youve opened up to us about your personal finances and your mental state on this forum, what is more personal than that? Did you get a pinapple stuck up your arse again?

Creating numerous threads to talk about your feelings isnt really the best way forward, take on the countless replies of advice and sort yourself out.
