Whiskey, lots of Whiskey….. any excuse
Absolutely love that Bandit you rascal 😀 I had a little sesh yesterday, a day after it was removed as it felt ok, so that probably didn’t help!
I better get the Jack Daniels in! haha
Hello,
Firstly, we can’t always win, sadly. You never see a broke casino.
However, if they’ve signed up to GAMSTOP, and I’ve checked, they are. I suggest you contact support. Get their email, and send a complaint. Before you do this, speak with a GAMSTOP agent, and request proof of the information you’ve used to sign up to GAMSTOP. You’ll get made to upload ID verification and it can take some time, and they’ll email the information in a PDF format, on what information you used to sign up to GAMSTOP with.
Once you get it, attach that to an email and complain to 888. GAMSTOP isn’t a legal obligation yet, to sign up to the scheme. However, if you’ve signed up to the scheme, it is a legal obligation. Considering 888 already have a breach on their license I’m sure they’ll take this seriously.
Failing that, if they respond and not return your funds, despite you providing proof of being registered the the scheme, and so are they, speak to GAMSTOP and the UK Gambling Commission.
Fuck me Bandit, the suspense on this story is worse than watching Eastenders on a friday night having to wait the weekend to see what’s gonna happen on Monday hahaha. C’mon lad. What next
1Lol they love a good bonus when they launch don’t they…. kind of like that clockwork mice for me!
Watched you play Magc Mirror Steve, looks like such a tricky game to bonus!
Just keep going one day at a time mate. Just something as simple as going for a walk can be great for you – clears your head. And 23 is young still. I never went abroad until I was 26! Also, writing stuff down somewhere like this I find is really, really good. You have supportive people who may of been through similar. All the best.
Hey mate!
Thanks for your reply fella. I do try stay active and do stuff, keep my mental state abit better. All helps! Just not currently working, unfortunately. But hopefully it’ll get there!
Still young yeah, luckily! Just feel sad that from 19 mainly to now (And 3 more years) I’ve done nothing. Sad I can’t drive, move out, travel. Just because a previous mistake and addiction! Yeah, good shout, I try to keep interactive and talk to people in the same boat/community. Helps alot!
Just made a page, probably pointless and stupid! Wish me luck! 🙂 https://www.gofundme.com/help-fund-my-travels-please-read&rcid=r01-153073913578-d4568280af0d4c93&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_w
Hi mate, there’s probably a lot of people in the same boat, l was. I can only tell you what worked for me. If tomorrow you somehow got all the money you need and payed off all your debts and got yourself sorted, how long before your back to the same problems you have now, not long, been there done it. It took me around 5 years to pay off most of my debts and a long time for people to trust me again, but mate it felt good. I still gamble but no more than 10% of my income, l now can go on holidays and do normal things that people do. Am not saying its easy, as a gambler we always look at the easy way out of trouble instead of the best way. Things may look bleak just now, but theres light at the end of the tunnel. focus, stay strong and take one day at a time. Goodluck mate.
Hey mate! Thanks for your reply.
Sounds like you was in the same boat. I completely agree with what you’re saying, me about a year ago anything I got would have gone straight back to gambling.
I can happily say now, I’ve changed, every penny I get goes on paying my debts, which I’m happy and proud of. Been paying them off for 3 years now, and it’ll take another 3 years to pay them all off. Sad, 6 years of my prime gone!
Ironic thing is, the reason I properly started to gamble around 19ish was to try fund my passion and to earn money to travel, oh how that backfired! Wish I knew what I did now, back then!
I think the main thing affecting me now with my debt, is the depression. Really gets me down, to the point in most recent months sadly quite suicidal thoughts. Seeked help, and nothing seems to have worked, unfortunately. Suppose hence why I wrote this post, people’s opinions. Just wish I could press restart and have all this behind me, so I can start having fun and look back and just laugh.
2Yeah 100% the last thing I’d ever do is call to tell them. I’d exploit it completely.
I agree Hacko1, cheers for the support mate. Appreciate it. One day hopefully I can look back and laugh, just unfortunately not right now. My life consists of literally working and laying in bed/sleeping. So depressing when I’m so young, but it’s the punishment I have to take for my actions of getting into debt I suppose.
Alright Bandit! Cheers for the advice mate, I looked into those types of things around a year ago now when I went to Citizens Advice. They did advise I do it, but did warn me about the 6 year credit ruin. The thing that put me off, the adviser did warn me, with society these days it will have a worse impact even after 6 years. Apparently these things get swiped from your credit file, but they’re still there to see. So people will use it against me regardless. I know someone who went into a payment plan, she now struggles to get a mortgage and all sorts. It’s such catch 22, I’ve ruined my life in the teenage/young adult stages, do i carry on doing nothing and being depressed for around 3/4 more years and hope after I will be alright, would prefer that than ruining my future later on in life also.
I just want to do something further to prevent others going through this. To warn the risks of such young gambling. I’ve lost everything. Friends, distant with family, no money, can’t drive, I own a TV that’s literally all I have to my name. I want to warn others. One person saved from this is at least one person. I’m luckily in one aspect that I have the experience and knowledge to educate.
Thanks for the comments guys.
I agree, its a massive thing. I think my biggest thing is the fact I no longer gamble yet have severe money issues, it’s like my head and life is good now I don’t gamble, yet my mental state is worse for the fact of what it’s done to me.
I had to take out a payday loan to go out for a family members birthday, because I can never afford to do anything and for once done something and it’s now doubled in size. Very silly of me, it’s gone from £100 to £200 quite swiftly. I work full time yet earn to the T basically what I owe out, so I had no choice.
Sad times really!
£268.43 (my first guess was as soon as you said it on the start of the video) at the end you said it’s definitely not less than £200, so now you said that at the end I chose this one please 🙂
The page is almost complete mate, i just need to come up with the team names and then draw the participants and i will be ready to video the results i would say.
Awesome mate. Hats off to you for both thinking of the idea and actually creating it. Such a good idea. Fair play fella
