Not sure I’ve ever seen people get so defensive about forums before…
If keyboard warriors get you this worked up, maybe take a break from it all?
I get the whole escapism draw people may get off the forums, but when you’re trying to prove that one is better than the other, just step back from it all!
Who cares what another forum thinks?! If you enjoy it here, enjoy the discussions and enjoy the content, happy days!
Is it really worth getting this wound up about a bunch of usernames somewhere else?
11Refreshing to see and hear the honesty regarding the loss. More streamers should follow your lead on that one.
Lurked a fair bit since the forum started, comment when I can’t control myself … usually in a JB debate! ?
Always a pleasure though!
11You’re right, it’s not proof.
Unfortunately, neither side has any solid proof and asides from a whistleblower coming forward, we’re unlikely to find out. The same as many other multinational conglomerates.
It’s up to the individual as to whether or not they trust the evidence they are shown. It’ll take rather a lot for everyone to agree!
But it’s a very interesting thought, you’re right!
I guess it is conceivable that pages could be faked. But we’re in danger of an almost infinitely regressive argument.
As in, I dont trust streamers, show me proof. I dont trust your proof, show me more, and so on.
The ‘big’ casinos I guess have no need to fake streamer’s accounts. They have a huge turnover anyway and the bad publicity wouldn’t be worth it.
Smaller casinos I guess could fake a page. With the new UKGC rules coming in I’m sure there would be a breach of that somewhere.
If a streamer shows me their bank statements, deposit history on the sites and that all tallys, I’ll take that as enough proof as long as it’s done in a reasonable time frame.
As far as affiliate earnings etc go, should they have to reveal that? It’s their income, not something I’d necessarily disclose. As long as they are open about making money from deposits and plug the responsible gambling stuff, I’m fine with them earning. No different to the thousands of affiliates for companies in other sectors.
If they delete comments and refuse to answer questions, they just make a rod for their own backs and should expect people to be sceptical of their legitimacy.
Pushing dodgy casinos is something i do have a problem with though. It shouldnt happen.
It seems to me like all his bonanza videos have gone from his YT?
Scrolled about 6 months through and can only find one which starts about 9 mins in. The megaways to start was like 430…
Strange

How very odd!
Pointless reasoning with these people.
Part of me feels they are just trolls after a reaction?
Surely anyone with an ounce of logical reasoning would understand that they decided to spend their own money, not get robbed?
1Sure I just read that someone thinks climate change isn’t real. Suppose the earth is flat, the moon landings didn’t happen, Elvis is alive and the illuminati rule all.
Crazy shit.
On pretty much every point I agree with you mate.
A lot of what’s said in reply to people who have truly messed up tends to be platitudes and doesn’t really help address the issues.
That being said…
1. Knowing that others have made the same mistakes as you and have come out stronger as a result can only be a good thing. So if people say tomorrow will be better because they’ve managed to make it so, it may have a positive psychological effect?
2. You said that people choose their addiction over their family. Addiction is defined as not having control over doing something to the point that it could be harmful. So I disagree with you on this point. Addiction is a mental disorder and should be treated as such. Suggesting that you should just get over it isn’t a helpful suggestion!
But on the whole, yes, I agree that for the majority, simple measures will ensure that you dont spend beyond your means and fall into the pit of addiction.
Retarded?
Awesome argument. π
It actually relates to the argument that people say to just get on with things as they are. People are less likely to challenge the system if they respect people with money. And given that our capitalist society makes it socially acceptable to chase and appreciate wealth, those morally corrupt businesses will get away with it because people want to emulate them. In essence, nobody aspires to be poor.
Let’s bullet point responses to the rest of your post.
– People have already explained to you the reasons for the costs in bringing a new drug onto the market. No point in rehashing what they’ve said.
– You use a film as an example to further your argument. There’s no point in responding to that. It’s a film!
– You spout some nonsense about people being mind controlled like it’s some cheap trick. Of course adverts and marketing is targeted to make us buy a product! Hardly ground breaking!
– Not everything those in power say is some kind of conspiracy over the rest of the world. Are there things going on that they would rather we didn’t know about? More than likely. Plenty of respectable and reliable content showing that it’s the case. But again, hardly inside information.
– Not sure people are defending multi national conglomerates. More accepting that there are some things in our remit to control and some are not. None of us are going to change the attitudes of these businesses, but we can vote with our wallets to make ourselves feel a little better.
You talk about my post being retarded, you’re posting all these views as though the world is blind to the corruption of big business and that you are some kind of saviour, here to warn and guide us all.
None of this is new. It’s constantly in the news, plenty of respectable journalists write articles on it. Yes it’s bad and yes we are all in some sense slaves to it.
But you do have a choice! Don’t use the company’s products! But if you’re going to be all ethical, there’s a hell of a lot you’d have to go without because big business supplies most of it!
I find some your threads and ideas quite interesting, you clearly have a passion for tackling injustice which is awesome. But equally, moaning about the state of big business on here won’t solve anything and clearly just gets you even more annoyed! That being said, always makes for an entertaining read!
Enjoy your weekend. π
2“And it has obviously been put in place to drive away natural remedies”
?ββοΈ
Natural remedies do pretty much nothing against actual disease. There’s literally minimal to no evidence that they are effective. Old wives tales don’t cure cancer.
Does your outrage towards these companies stretch to the impact on the poor around the world? Nestle for example? I boycott Nestle because of their direct impact on the lives of the poorest people in Africa.
My boycott will do nothing to Nestle’s bottom line but I feel a little less morally bankrupt for not buying from them.
That’s literally all you can do to address the imbalance.
The argument, about it being the way they make money so get on with it, is actually less of an argument and more of a statement.
I paraphrase, but:Β the reason why the rich generally do not behave admirably is, ironically, that they are widely admired anyway (on account of their wealth). In other words, the rich are not somehow innately vicious people. Rather, their affluence puts them in a position in which they do not have to behave morally in order to earn the esteem of others, most of whom are dazzled and enchanted by their riches.
Genuinely can’t wait!
I’ll be having a kick around, with the little one. Sort out some match snacks, get the family round and remain nervous until kick off!
Was going to head up to Liverpool like last year but didn’t organise it in time Haha.
Feels like our year though!
Enjoy!
I’m kind of shocked that <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>you’re</span> shocked that big companies lack morals.
Businesses are here to make money, not be the moral torch bearers of society. Sad as that is, it’s the way the world works.
Clearly there are some pretty ethical companies, I guess the way to show your discontent is boycotting the ones you hate and using the ethical ones.
As long as there are shareholders to make profit for, the primary objective will be just that, profit.
I do sometimes wonder if, for some people, this is some kind of cult!
In its simplest form, the videos are a guy playing slots. That content is everywhere! I get that the content he puts out has good commentary and is usually pretty funny to listen too, but surely the videos aren’t the only thing going on in your lives?
It’s like some of you replace the gambling addiction with a Bandit video addiction! Admittedly it’s a cheaper addiction, but emotionally it seems to take the same toll on some of you!
Content, when it’s released, is very much appreciated. When there is no content, surely just crack on and live your lives? Nobody owes anybody anything here!
Crazy how people take it so personally!
