Ive worked in CS for 13 years and its important that a company can verify who you are so a breach of your data doesnt happen.

Also why should the agent give you their personal details? You deal with the company, not them. Their full name is irrelevant. You can find out details of any company.

 

Regarding call logs and chats. Its all saved against the handler. There will definately be a trail for accountability. My company knows my bowel habbits mate lol. Everything is recorded.

A small scratch will write off most cars. The cost of collecting, courtesy car, accessing, storage, admin and repair will far exceed the value of the car. Thats just how it is.

 

Confuses me that to most people a car purchase will be there biggest or 2nd most expensive asset after property yet they insure with shitty insurers trying to save a few quid . Thats the gamble.

I work for one if not the largest UK insurer and can assure you that the customer is more protected now than ever before. We have to get our terms spot on and inform the customer every step of the way. Give a benefits and exclusions of every cover and add on. Agents are salaried and marked on compliance and customer scores, not sales at all. Claims are so customer focused that we do all we can to pay out now. We stand by our policies. Huge fines if we dont.

 

But thats an award winning insurer. Pick a broker who works on commision or an insurer on price over service then expect to get spanked when you need them.
