A slot machine is just a massive tombola with millions or billions of tickets…..as soon you hit spin, it picks a ticket. This ticket has a value, just we see that value as an outcome of the spin, bonus round or whatever.
My partner never chose to leave me because of gambling, she never knew. She chose to leave because of my financial instability, my in and out of jobs, my depression and mental state. I didn’t expect it to end, but I did know that my life was not suitable for a relationship and needed change, I just never had that chance before she was gone too. Don’t take your wife for granted, one day she might just go too. Make the change, find something more positive to do in your spare time, make your relationship a solid and happy one. One day it will all be too late, if we don’t change now, we will end up old at the end of our lives with nothing but bad memories, empty bank accounts and not a thing we can call our own.
11And just to add to the above, part of me wishes I told her about this, because although she might not have liked the fact I had gambled, walking away with that amount and putting it aside for OUR future could have changed this outcome dramatically.
So speak out, don’t be afraid to say to somebody you have won, even if they hate you gambling….their advice and help might just make all the difference to changing your life for the better.
11I share a similar story, particularly over the last year. Luckily I am not in debt though, however my personal equity and belongings has been reduced dramatically. Last summer (2019) I cashed out in total £19k in May (total income to my bank account for that month), I had a full time job with monthly salary over £1500 after tax, I had a partner of 1 year, a car, etc. Before I won this money I had a good lot of things going for me. Not only that but my partner of the time and I were talking of the future and how she had spent 8 years of her life and saved £10,000.
Well after my income of 19k for May, I bought lots of things, spoilt her, etc, became debt free and still had £12k in my bank account with no worries about finance or nothing. I actually had more money (suppose you could say) now saved than it took her 8 years to do. Now obviously I never told her about this winning as I remember one night she gave me the whole “if I catch you gambling” speech, so I kept it to myself. However, things just literally went downhill from there. I started to gamble more often, took days off work pretending I was sick to gamble, lied to her that I was off, etc. It took me one month, and it was gone…..not only was the money gone, but my job followed a month later, depression began to creep in, car ended up being sold, relationship began to fall apart.
Now here I am, 7 months after having everything, with nothing, no car, no partner, no job, no savings, and a head full of anxiety, depression and regret. I will never get that money back, I will never get my partner back……and now I have to try fight off depression and try everything to get my life back on track. I have now banned myself from all online gambling, at least self excluded for 2 years, because, I want my life back.
That, my friends, is the reality of losing control.
33100% would rather see a charity benefit than a greedy, cheating, selfish freeloader.
People have no shame, honestly.
Welcome to the forum,
Lovely win on primal, and I’d just like to point out, IF one more mammoth had landed on the last reel, it would have been 5400x. It happened to me before, similar screen to this.
1Standard really, a lot of people just see the opportunity of free money and unfortunately the gambling community is being obliterated by these pests now. I also agree with a lot of people here. Give it to charity.
Yes, I have played for couple years. I’ve played D. Labowsky too, he is on it. Will throw me tag in when I get a chance.
I also won free ticket from the slot battles, ended up coming first in last stage for a nice £1200…….once past stage 2, you just need 1st or 2nd from 5 places, and on 5th Round come 3rd, 2nd, or 1st for money.
Gandalfs bollocks, Peter Griffin Hipacrockapig, Pineapple head, those were the days. haha
For the Kelso race Benny’s Secret (3-1) won, Sunny Destination (9/2) came 3rd.
1I can actually see where the confusion arises here. RTP is based on adding in non winning results. For example, flipping a coin and calling heads or tails means you have an RTP of 50%, but it is not rigged in the sense the coin does not trend for the losing result. Transfer this logic to slots and it means that each spin is like tossing a million coins in one go, there is so many outcomes that are randomly generated.
Some people need to understand that gambling is a business or industry, and thus needs to yield profits. Through the design of games with losing outcomes, they can take their bite of apple.
Any date for this yet? I was kinda thinking it needs a little Irish. Like those jokes “An Englishman, Welshman and Irishman walk into the Pub.”
