Its a disgrace Blueprint are bending UKGC rules to get bonus buys out on UK casinos again. For sure they were losing gamblers when the ban came in last year, because all their slots are impossible to bonus through the base game.

It seems as though their business model is built on people buying bonuses these days, perfect for streamers who have affiliate commission to offset losses, but terrible for gamblers who just lose their money faster.

Ive read some of the replies on this thread, and to say I am incredulous that people are crying over missing out of FREE money is an understatement. Some peoples comments are right off the scale of basic human decency.

Totally agree, Nicks vitriol towards the Reelraiders is without and proof and I see it as nothing more than a personal attack.

They are two very clever young ladies, that have a great sense of humour and are fun to watch. In a previous life, I was FCA authorised to give advice to companies on their employee benefits. AML (Anti Money Laundering) and Source of Wealth checks were standard and I couldn’t give any financial advice until I had documented proof that the company were genuine.

Applying this to your casino accounts, you should be approaching them saying you make your income from affiliation and you have savings in the bank that you use to fund your gambling. I know this is a ballache but company accounts and copies of bank statements should shut them up once and for all. If they come back dragging their heels and not allowing you to deposit what you want, then they are basically saying sorry you’ve won too much we don’t want your business and hiding behind AML/Source of Wealth legislation. Its just a cop out as far as I am concerned. Maybe you need to move up to Director level to challenge their decisions.

Payday loan companies, who were chucking money left right and centre at people a decade ago are now in the middle of a big phase of compensation claims. The issue of affordability is one of the main reasons for this.

Now if anyone decides in government circles decides  that online gaming companies through not knowing their customers have been negligent in protecting people who have  problem gambling issues, we could be in for interesting times.

How is it any different for a lender to give you money that you can’t afford to borrow versus a gambling company allowing you to chuck thousands of pounds down the drain in their casinos, quite often in the past on credit cards which until more recently didn’t have any limits on the amount you could deposit.

UKGC is spot on with bonus buys. Looking at the maths side of things, you are only making variance even more extreme with slots like Chilli and Vikings Unleashed etc. It is no coincidence that they are very hard slots to bonus in the base game.

If the RTP of a bonus buy is around the 96% mark, you are going to have to buy in the thousands before you hit that expected rate of return.

For a hardcore gambler that could mean losses in the thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds if variance runs against you.

Streamers can afford bonus buys because they have the insurance of affiliate commission to back them up when that variance turns against them To us mere mortals unless we are very lucky they are bad news.
