So will we ever see a woman on the snooker circuit?
Yes i think so. The sport is crazy in china so for me its only a matter of time. If you think the 2 women who played in the pdc world darts at xmas so why not.
After seeing that video I’d have to say yes.. But probably not iin my lifetime tbh, because as you know Haz there’s many a circuit player out there and with China’s young stars just emerging it will be extremely difficult for a female on the lower end of the circuit.
If by chance BH done some trickery and got them made professional early on then she would stand a good chance with someone backing her. Whoever that her is???
Quite like the snooker and used to watch all the time to. way back to ray reardon terry griffiths . Started playing regularly at spencers in stirling in the 80s when the game was booming . Marco fu and steven hendry played there , and amazingly you could find ursel playing right beside them . They had the bottom 2 tables in a hall of 6 and in the close season we got the chance 2 play on hendrys table , never again the bags were about half an inch smaller and the cloth was like lightning took me and my mate about an hour to finish a frame lol but u could watch in a wee stand that was built and just like that wee lassie it was fantastic to c them making the game look piss easy .
Spencer was the best club in scotland
We went ther e after playin in a dump called bakies in falkirk stevie
As soon as u walked in the place it was a different class hendry used to keep some of his trophys in 2 big cabinets and it just gave u a great feelin being there even the normal tables were a world apart from what we were used to playin on.
It’s great to have played there, an amazing place tbh and run so well. ??
The Masters in Glasgow was the only other club that nearly matched it.

Angles lol. He’s a pundit on itv4 snooker alan McManus. You did well to win 1 out of 3 against a pro. You must of been have decent. I’m just glad that Ronnie is actually reaching his potential by winning as many tournaments as he should. Been left handed Jimmy white was always my snooker hero. So many disappointing nights watching him lose in the final. Well six of them. I should of carried on playing seriously. Unfortunately women and booze got in the way ha ha.
Yeah bro… Back then it was £100 for best of 5 with side bets going, don’t think he was a pro then tbh. He played in a club at belgrove Station then moved to the masters up the road.. Very nice guy tbh.
He was giving out trophies 1 night a few years later, I walked into the club and my mates like hey look…When he was finished he passed by and said to ma mate, I hope your not betting “insert name” and me cover was blown ???
My friend was better than him but didn’t make it because of the drink. I never made it because of money as we were too poor. Sad but true. When me dad realised how good I was he was a bit sick, 3 times I walked away from a match in the Scottish amatures because then the loser paid the table and I couldn’t afford the cost after 5/6 drawn out frames.
2 good dudes also paid my loss when they found out but I couldn’t handle the shame & walked away from it at 15.. It used to take me 4 weeks of savings to go into town and play, then Jim Donnelly noticed me and allowed me in on a saturday to his coaching club were I met the stars off the future, it was Jim who got us the matches in hamilton.
Its really tough to break through and nowadays it’s even tougher, these guys have dedicated their life to the sport and don’t always make a decent living, sad but true.
Barry Hawkins comes to mind and now he’s flying and a class act to watch. ?
I would like to see Ronnie break all the records because I know how well he’s done in life to knock back those demons and he’s truly the best that’s ever been by a mile. ???
Your right there mate. I love my snooker watching and played since i was a kid. That’s such an amazing achievement.
Tooth Hooking Right Haz. I have a vast amount of respect for people who can play. I won’t name drop but my MIL is related to a top ranked UK player. I was lucky enough to meet him and a few others including the rocket at Plymouth some years ago. When Mr Robidoux was miffed at Ronnie for playing left and right handed, accusing him of showing off when really it just added pressure to his game.
My highest break is 47 with bad eyesight on a real table and 140 on Virtual Snooker where centuries were ten a penny, not that the game was easy. There’s a new one out called Shooters Pool, but the makers are braindead with the player position and ability to look around while on the shot. Dunno why am telling you this, you might not be interested lol
Always interested mate. Watched Ronnie get 1000th century on Sunday was amazing to watch when he potted the red left handed to get his hubdred. Absolutely brilliant. Looking forward to world championships next month. Not missed watching a final for 35 years. 84 was the first. Jimmy white losing 18 16 to Steve Davis. Was instantly hooked. Starting playing at 9 and loved the game ever since. My highest break is a little higher than 47.
Ahh the classic’s ??
I love me some snooker too and not missed a world championship since I was around 9 too ? Stephen Hendry then John Higgens were my players to watch.
Ive not played the game in 25 years but would give most a game ??? I think ?
Played angles a few times and lost 2 out a 3.. Played a world champ 1 frame when I was 14 in the Davis club in Hamilton but lost again ?
The best players that have played the game is Ronnie, John and Stephen, seeing them in real life on a practice table is surreal. Ronnie is a good dude who had a dark side, John has always been the most honest player out there, to nice Infact and Stephen is Stephen ???
In before the JH rigging claims.. When the Russian Mafia is involved I’d rather take the fine ???

Nothing to do with this 147 but, you talking about virtual snooker and the Rocket reminded me of when he tried virtual snooker or pool in America , wanted to put his hand on the table and fell over cause there was no table haha
?
I managed to download 4.325 terrabites last night.. ? That should last me a while. ?
P.S. Anyone with spare data cards?
It’s just scaremngering of the highest order to say the Tories are going to sell off the NHS. This lie has been banded about since the days of Thatcher. It wasn’t true then and it’s not true now! It woud be political suicide down there with a pomise to slash state pensions and would lead to a mass defection of MP’s and literally the end of the Tory party as a main party.
This is rubbish as parts off the NHS have already been sold out. Facts matter.
The core principals of the NHS remain the same – if you are sick you’ll be treated free of charge. We do not have a bottomless pit of money and we have an ever increasing, ageing population , tinkering with things here and there to save or raise extra funds haa to be done by any sensible government. Labour would spend shedloads of billions we cannot afford and teave power with a massive debt hanging over us and higher unemployent, justt like they always have, only it would be worse than ever under Corbyn and Commie run Labour. I say that as someone who’s only ever voted Labour.
#Facts Matter….Your statement is wrong.
If we stopped the B.S private payments given out by the public purse NHS to private company’s (who incidently are run by ex-tory mp’s & associates) then we save money, inflating the price off a light bulb because they said so is corruption 101 in my book & many others.
BTW I don’t support or never have supported Labour.
Also can you provide source material to back up your claims like I did. Or is this all your own facts?
MPs trying to derail Brexit isn’t gonna cost a fraction of what letting Brexit happen will.
Actually it’s just a Troll game on the ex-pats by the baby boomers…. ???
I’ve started on £500 too, had a few bonuses, some shit 20x ones though, best was a little over 200x
Good Lucky… ????
I reckon the bigots who voted wouldn’t turn up for a second Brexit referendum because they’ve realised it won’t get the bloody foreigners out.
As I said before Brexit means they’ll be heading to Europe for work..Thats no joke BTW, after all when the City of London loses those finance jobs, they’ll be off to wherever ever they are. ???
When amazon leave too guess what?
Shot themself’s in the foot these dudes, when Scotland leaves the UK too ill be sad tbh…
The fact that this country has been a world leader throughout history shows we can accomplish anything if we work together.
Was that before privatisation of public services and before manufacturing was pretty much destroyed?
because the UK is pretty weak now by comparison to what it used to be. World leaders in fuck all.
????
World leaders in gammon mate.. ???
Hate everything about it. But don’t you all see how disgusting things are with politicians and politics.
Since the powers that be wanted a remain vote they are willing to screw the country and ppl over.
Anything that happen is because someone wants it to.
Just imagine the difference if the country/media/politicians got behind the winning vote and really tried to make things happen, no scare stories no bullshit just… Right let’s do this attitude..
The fact that this country has been a world leader throughout history shows we can accomplish anything if we work together.
Unfortunately the people voted leave. yet the people in charge all voted remain so it’s all gone tits up. Us the people will lose out and suffer, not because a leave vote won but because it was ment to lose.
That in its self is a massive worry for future generations, what’s the point in voting in the future if you are constantly told your opinion is wrong.
At the moment no one is worth voting for, and realistically only the tory and labour could win a election. Anyone else is never getting anywhere. But the problem for me is both Labour and Tory is a terrible choice.
If the future turns out shit its because some dickhead wants to teach the people a lesson. Look what trouble you have caused, you should listen to us the government, we know best .
Might as well just let them get on with it
The vote was a NON BINDING AGREEMENT.. An advisory vote.
Look I don’t care. But would u say that if remain won. No
If remain won ? Yes I would because that was the Law.
Would the ERG downtools is the question your looking for and the answer is No… If only 1 election counted why bother having Any general elections after the 1st one in 1800?
