Only time I seen the staff get involved is when someone is getting loud & abusive….. I’ve seen a few bad ones in my travels… Walked up to a fobt had a quick glance at the guy playing the other fobt as you do & got challenged rather aggressively, managed to get away unscaved but was a bit shaken… Walked into another bookies about 8/10 months later and the same dude apologised for being a prick lol.

As for mental health, it’s a bigger problem around gambling than some realise. And probably easier to get addicted and fall into bad ways.

Forums like these help and it’s why I try not to dunk on people’s bad beat story’s as we all need to let go at times, it’s better to laugh at yourself and let out some steam on a anonymous forum rather than being aggressive or cruel..

The main thing that calmed down my gambling was the gaming, I play a game called throne & you could spend thousands on it.. Tbh prob have but enjoy the craic & it’s addictive and usually I account for £10/20 a week as it keeps me buzy when working…. ?

Over 2 years at it.. Helped a lot honestly. But you need self_control ?

I’m a addict, everything is fucking addictive to me. ?☕?

to answer malky, 100% the instructor –  it was clear he was trained by the army – we were literally drilled for example on the recovery position, he started by slowly step by step going through the actions, then it was literally, arm, wrist, hand, leg, head turn Clear. That was at least 5 times in a row. It’s muscle memory now.

Like my job it can be thankless, but as you know it gives you great self awareness & compassion for the human race.

Dealing with injured or ill people can be very difficult and it takes a special kind of person to do so.. Big ups manic mania and give yourself a pat on the back, on a regular basis.. You deserve it. ?????❤️

Hi Thisgirl…. We’ve all been there & I have a similar problem of needing £1250 for something… If I don’t manage to save the money, then it’s not going to happen, if I gamble to try and get it I’m fucked… Even if I win it, as you know no room is big enough to fill with cash for a gambler…

Just think of your daughter.
