You say you’re not blaming the customer support agent, but there’s very little if any practical difference between doing that and demanding answers from them you know they can’t give. Moreso, the subject matter you ask about is clearly intended to try to make them feel uncomfortable. It borders on a form of bullying or abuse.

And the truth is for all the support structures and funding in the world for problem gamblers, you cannot help people who willfully refuse to help themselves. Casinos don’t like regulation, nor does any other industry subject to it, but they do comply – and get no end of shit for it from people including you, when they ask for verification of your income, or lock an account displaying behavioural evidence of a problem or erraticism. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

Services such as GamStop, Gamcare, Gamblers Anonymous, The Samaritans not to mention the NHS are readily available and free, but you can’t force someone to use them.

I honestly don’t think gambling, thinking about gambling and being part of a gambling community is doing your well-being and mental health any favours – and that’s not an insult, it’s an observation that I sincerely mean in the kindest way. The whole industry and activity of gambling seems like it just upsets you.

I’ll 2nd this post too, as I wrote above about MrB needing a timeout from Gambling.

MrB needs a dam holiday in the sun for 6 months with no means to gamble. ☀️??

You keep playing this victim card, when it’s clear for everyone to see that the majority are just trying to offer some advice.

I say it again though, no one is personally attacking you merely trying to offer advice from the observations we have made from this thread and many other over the last week or so.

Good Post Sir… I agree with everything you wrote too. ??

    Hi Eightblack….

I don’t know really what to say except your a decent Lad with morals & Like me have addiction problems. You seem very like me in the posts I’ve read off yours.

I was about to write some off my experience’s but this is not the place to do so and I’m not ready to talk about it. Let’s just say I’ve lost many friends & family too the ills off society.

Mr B must think we’re nieve to the dangers off society or something, is it bad that others just want to do their Job. NO its not at all. Because they’d lose it quicker than I can write this post If for 1 moment they actually cared for the gambler as I bet its in their contract.

C.S is not the salvation army. Why would they care, after all their on min wage & were out there gambling hundreds if not thousands a year. Imagine what they think about us gamblers.

@Mr B Gambling ain’t for everyone including you brother, take heed & try to stop brother, your killing yourself and any happiness you ever got from it, you need a long break and maybe look at quitting for good. Gambling has obviously fucked your thinking up, its a cruel world out there and sometimes we have to take the small wins in life.

You can see those comments as you will, be safe and be good brother.

Hi Eightblack… I was writing a long post but to be honest I can’t be arsed this morning.. Yes your correct ? Brother.

There’s plenty of help & Support groups out there for addicts, it’s lucky we have that in the UK. ? And most off the EU. ?

Hi Haz…This old argument lol mate.

Dont take offence to how people define their addiction, it’s there choice. Some will say its a illness because they are in treatment and it’s a better way for them to define it. And as long as they have an understanding that it’s treatable they have a good chance to kick it.

On the other hand Some will use the “Illness” to commit scumbaggery… I tend to see the person & If their looking for actual help to recover then I’ll help, if their upto B.S. me then they receive B.S. in return.

Were all different & that’s the beauty of life.

Ive learned not to expect anything in life, then I don’t get disappointed/Let down as much, and that helps me greatly.

So I see the Illness argument as just something that can upset me, so I don’t tend to go there often. I see you as a online friend and am only saying don’t let it upset you brother because when us addicts get upset we can do damage to ourself’s.

Enjoy your day Peeps & be lucky ????

If that’s a short post I’d hate to read one of your long ones lol. I’m at work at 10.30 wouldn’t have time to read it.??.  I will try and enjoy my day and you enjoy yours. Have a good one mate.

Hi all, over the last couple of years ive got myself into a lot of debt which the bulk of it stems from gambling. I’ve since stopped and focused on paying back everything I owe. Some of which have been passed on to debt collector’s. I wanted to see if anyone had any history/advice in dealing with bailiffs. Ultimate-bet-absolute-poker-scandal both the same sites.</p>

The link you posted is just one aspect of them cheating players. How can you say they werent cheating players when infact he was allowed to use software to see opponents hole cards? That is cheating.

Fulltilt were knowing using their customers money for their own gains, and when the site was found out people rightly so tried to withdraw their money only to find that there was no money there for them to withdraw, or a signifcantly lesser amount of money that should have been in a segregated account.

I think you’ve pick me up wrong there Quasi…

I lived the Fulltilt fiasco, they owed me lots of money, so I’ll address that 1st..

Fulltilt got caught up in a massive fraud committed to them by an Australian, who set up their money transfers and stole millions (450 as a rough estimate) when he got caught, he spilled the beans on Fulltilt as they were operating in the US without a license(Pokerstars too) and all other sites.

When the FBI realise how much $ was involved they went after the pokersites to help the players get paid because typically Sites did not transfer funds, and Fulltilt by giving out loans to their sponsored players did not have enough to compensate their players.. Alough they Stole they did not cheat..Bad business & too much trust in others was Fulltilt downfall.

Sheldon Aldson took advantage of this and got the US to Ban all Poker online by getting the Congress to introduce the bans. So landbased casinos got all the action.

On the other hand Absolute & Ultimate Bet did Cheat their players, with suspicious accounts, they identified Pott ripper as the main suspect which got linked to the Site owner.

All players who lost money with Fulltilt got paid eventually by the US Government ? Alough it took a few years.

Thanks to pokerstars too for buying out Fulltilt & reimbursement of players.

    I know it’s technically’s at play stealing V Cheating.

I can see how many people see Fulltilt Pro’s/Sponsored players as being cheats & That’s fair in my book.

    Laters brother. ???
