I have spent my life in and around psychiatry. I was a psychiatric nurse for years, a Samaritan and am currently a mental health first aider. So I can say with some authority that what you say is total bollocks.

Sometimes people say nothing, tidy their affairs and jog off without anyone realising anything was wrong. Most often however, there are plenty of signs and warnings. They do tell others of their intentions. Although occasionally such warnings can be used to manipulate others, more often they are desperate individuals who need help. Suicide rates are high amongst addicted gamblers, so if any forum member says such a thing chances are they aren’t just pulling an angle.

A statement of intent should always be taken seriously.

Suppose we shud show a bit more mercy . Think people are pissed off this weekend . Because it’s the weekend before pay day

Im sat here contemplating suicide right now as have pretty much nothing in this life and no reason to keep on going to be honest. Terrible credit history so can’t even get a payday loan to help me out short term. Defo done with gambling now and don’t see anything positive in the near future fml!
