I follow the racing religiously and I’m a member of a number of private groups with trainers/contact info.
Will be amazed if Apples Jade Dosent Win the first, absolute beast of horse as she is and the 7lb give just advances her edge even further over BVD. Laurina is an interesting runnner but does need to improve in what she’s shown to be a danger but is more than capable of doing so, just not this year for me.
banker of the festival i think for me has to be Benie De Dieux in the 4.10pm tomorrow – Absolutely primed for this.
Good luck everyone, glad someone started a fresh Cheltenham thread for the festival ???
Unlucky pal, bit of a tough one to swallow there, maybe take a break for a bit.
Having said that, I would make 2 points of constructive feedback.
1. When playing roulette at those stakes, I would only ever play live wheels as it is so easy for a digital statem just swallow your money. I know people will claim “magnets” but there is no such thing, fact. It’s not even a point up for debate.
2. I would suggest working on your betting strategy as you are seemingly havens gamblers mindset known as “loss aversion”. It’s where you can’t bare to lose so you back all outcomes. Most of your numbers are not profitable and so it will destroy you in the long run. Let’s say you are staking £1,500 and have a minimum return of £360 (worst number has £10). You are willing to risk losing £1,140 so just stake that amount on the numbers you actually want. You will end up far better off when you win, and the same if you lose.
Just some friendly advise, hope your luck picks
On my way to work (also in Essex) they have lollipop ladies at various points for schools – fair enough.
but one woman decides to operate a zebra crossing – presses the button waits for the lights to go red and then runs out into the road as if it’s her stopping the traffic.
Really infuriates me and I’m so tempted to get out and just have an explosive rant as I explain to her ?
Sorry to read all this seedy, but glad to see you’re sorted for tonight thanks to Andy and some other top chaps in here.
once you’re back on your feet, if you want to consider pursuing your landlady for costs etc let me know and I’d be happy to help too. I’m a solicitor and can prepare letters and issue proceedings on your behalf if required.
Hope your ok for now.
11I know what you mean Maher. For me, I watch the Bandit and a few other streamers and it gives me a buzz watching them plays and hit big – but none more entertaining than Bandit.
Sometimes I also have a little bash on free play on the likes of casumo – cost nothing, no log in and can play most games and enjoy a bonus.
For a gambler, nothing will be the same as the real thing, but it’ll be worth the sacrifice when you’ve got that house! Good luck to you
Had a bit of a stupid roulette bash today, but I know we all love a gambling story in here so thought I’d share.
I’ve not played the FOBTs in a while, I usully just pop in for a footy bet once or twice a week, as been on Gamban for a while but still like a small weekend footy bet and find im much more disciplines only going in shop.
anyway, today I pop into coral on my lunch break and have about 300 on me. I have a look at the city Everton slips but not really any value so figure I’d have a cheeky £20 on my old mate Eye of Horus. Donk through that on 50p spins and won about 75p, so thought I’d try £20 on roulette. Anyway, as we all know happens in soon doing £50 spins mostly covering tier and 0 sections. I get upto £190 having only put £130 in at this point and should perhaps have walked.
For those who know roulette (I’m assuming most here!) I play 12-15 in 0 section, but also 29 (not 7/28) and I play 23-36 in tier ( and also 27 but not 13) don’t ask my why!
once I’m on £50 spins, it hits 13, 28, 13, 7, 5, 6, 22. so 7 losses in a row and 5 “next doors”. This of course took my £190 balance and also my remaining £170 in my wallet to fund.
I stomp out and withdraw £400 and march back in, knowing it’s stupid, but this is the right audience to understand the mindset!
Annoyingly, a lurker has nabbed my machine, but still on tilt I hit the one next door. Straight to £50 spins now and hit about 6 losers in a row, not even close just consistently orphelins flicking betweenness 17/20 sides. Stick the last £100 in and finally hit a decent number, 11. £7 straight up and £2 split so return was about £280. Next up 26, another cracker £4 straight and 2 x £3 splits – another £250. Next spins a dud, then back to 11 for another £280. I’m upto £760 here so I cash it in and stick £30 ew on herecomestheboom in the 1.40 at Ludlow. It got injured and pulled up so I left band on even.
Not done anything like that in a long time and a relatively happy ending (as breaking even always is for a gambler!) but reminded me of how dangerous those things can be, especially when I bet the horse at 1.40 and realised all of the above has been within the space of 25 mins!
Be good to see these £2 max bet rules take effect I think, I might actually then be able to safely just have £20 on horus.
1Impressive to deposit €50 and somehow walk with £14 – did you play the new currency conversion slot by BGT ?
only joking, but yeah unlucky on the slots bud
You may want to query with 888 when they joined Gamstop as I had a similar issue with another site, but the reason was because they only joined gamstop a few months after I signed up, so even I joining gamstop I was able to continue playing but my account wasn’t blocked until the casino in question signed up.
if this is the case, I can’t see you being able to get anything out of them tbh.
On the plus side, I’m sure it will benefit you in the long run as soon all sites will be signed up which is what will make gamstop so helpful to people.
1You really need to walk away now and take a break. If you carry on like this you are going to loose it all. As much as you promote responsible gambling, this is not responsible.
? “Responsible” is subjective not objective ?
one day people will learn that and Bandit won’t have to bang his head into the wall everytime he sees a post like this
That brutal mate, and like I said many here been in the same boat. I signed up for Gamstop a little while ago and since then have managed to save a good halfway toward and engagement ring for my mrs. You sometimes don’t notice how much you’re spending until take a step back from it. I know it’s a low point now but maybe either set some deposit limits to try and reign it in a bit or try having a break for a bit. Keep your head up things will he better
Completely done my bollox in , need to chat about it because i feel like shit haha
Sorry to hear that bud, feel free to post your story, a lot of people here been in th same boat and can offer guidance / advice etc
1Some people on here would still find a way to stick the gift card on Susan to beat Leanne in a sprint down aisle 6 ??
Welcome bud, Might be a good place to start just asking questions on the forum – a lot of members will be able to help with most questions and Bandit replies to people through the forums too – not sure about direct email hence my suggestion is just starting here
I’ve heard that’s good but never got round to it. Will give it a watch cheers
