The videos have been as dull as anything for me personally, strange that he managed to collect exactly 29 bonuses both times too.
All I can say if you don’t like them don’t watch them no one is forcing you ??
This is where the problem lies.
The feedback here from the viewers is important.
If Steven doesn’t care whether you watch or not, what’s the point of even taking the time to make videos and post them in the first place?
Well, clearly for his web site and the affiliate traffic.
Engaging the audience is the key to getting the traffic through the door in the first instance. If people are giving feedback that’s honest and direct & has a potential impact on your viewership, then it’s counter intuitive to discount the feedback at all and say ‘well don’t watch then’
The feedback loop has value if the end goal is to improve the quality of the product and promote it positively.
If we attack people for being critical, then people stop giving feedback at all, get frustrated with the experience and walk away.
I know fans of the bandit think they’re doing him a service by ‘protecting him from negative feedback’ but the reality is, you’re interfering with the honesty of the feedback loop experience and hampering his ability to make content design and delivery decisions.
This is why I hate simps with a passion. They hamper the engagement process and actually do more harm than good, thinking they’re doing the content creator a ‘favour’ when it’s actually the opposite.
As long as the feedback is constructive, ALL feedback has value and I’d encourage anyone who feels it’s their ‘duty’ to step in and shut down the feedback (good or bad) to sit back and appreciate that you’re not actually doing Steve any favours here at all.
Your heart is in the right place sure, but you’re actually doing more harm than good.
1I just watched the latest video and have to agree with the sentiment above, these are not the ‘bandit’ style videos you were famous for.
Every dick head and their dog does this sort of format nowadays and whilst watching bonuses back to back is the way to go, the way you’ve already lined them up removes a lot of the mystery and suspense.
You tend to feel let down a lot by the wins on these bonuses being 50 quid here, 80 quid there but you have to remember, you’re only betting 2 quid a spin. A 30-50x win is pretty standard for a lot of games and the fact you’re constant disappointed with the result just confirms these stakes are not thrilling you at all anymore.
Indeed, how do you come back from 20 & 30k tops on Reel King or 100k of a 6 quid bet on Jars and get ‘excited’ for a 100 quid win on a 2 pound bet?
Sad reality is, you can’t and it comes across very clearly in your current lot of videos.
‘Oh I won 200 quid! Yay… I guess?‘
Yeah, it’s pretty clear and obvious in your videos now.
You have set your own benchmark on an ‘exciting’ win pretty high now and whilst you can go through the motions on these 3k bonus hunts daily, it’s pretty clear that it’s just not doing it for you at all and your viewers are picking up on it.
So the question here really is will this be the format for you moving forward and that’s it?
Because sure as hell, this channel will fade into obscurity really fast and that 100k button you are seeking on YouTube will be a pipe dream.
I completely appreciate that you have to be responsible on your gambling and the crazy 100k+ swings of fortune are a fast track to bust town.
I completely appreciate that you cannot please everyone either.
But I will say that trying to re bottle the genie on your channel’s format that quite frankly made you famous is going to be almost possible at this point.
You’re the Bandit for a reason. You have a name out there in the community for a reason.
These current 3k bonus hunts? They’re considered boring, low stakes even by common standards out there today and it’s clear from your tone of voice, reactions and general disinterest you’re feeling the same thing.
I have to agree with a lot of others. I waited for baited breath for the weekly degen madness you’re renown for. Those roller coaster sessions where it was clear you were on the line and the emotion in your void was real is just not there at all in these videos.
These videos today even Nick Slots would scoff at and say you’re a light weight and lost your edge 🙂
These videos are the equivalent of a McDonald’s drive through experience. It gets the job done, but it’s generic, tame, has no wow factor at all and everyone involved is just bored to be there.
Yeah just watched the last vid and you sound about as enthusiastic as being at a funeral. lol
I’m not sure if it’s the stakes or the format, but you honestly don’t sound motivated at all here and come across more like you’re just going through the motions so you have SOME content to post in order to promote this site.
I know plenty on here are gonna slaughter me for my comments but trying to give my honest opinion rather than blowing smoke up your ring.
Not me Russ, I completely appreciate where you’re coming from there. Streamers @ 2 & 3 quid stake level are dime a dozen and its not what the Bandit is known for (or why he became so popular)
But I think we can all agree that betting 40 a spin was a one way track to disaster at some point and none of us ultimately have a say in Steven’s life. We saw how many 100k loss sessions for him in recent times?
Even if you’re loaded, that’s a bad pathway.
He’s a bloke with a wife and kids. He has to be responsible here, even with his disposable throw away income he can waste on slots.
Does that mean it’ll cost him subs and views moving forward? Probably. Actually, it’s very likely.
Your feedback isn’t going to be unique here. There’s going to be plenty of long time fans watch this latest vid and think ‘what’s the point?’.
But it’s his life too. He can tone it back to these sorts of stakes on a more regular basis and I’d still still retain a healthy number of viewers, or he can go back to his old ways and ensure his future is about giving hand jobs on a street corner to pay the mortgage.
Is this video as exciting as his previous degen madness? Probably not.
But will it mean we’ll likely see another vid from the Badito next month? Probably.
Don’t worry, the simps make me want to vomit as well and there’s no shortage of them on any fan page, but I think you’re not being unreasonable on your feedback here either and if people shout at you for expressing it then I think they’re ultimately missing the point.
Very solid video and good return to YouTube.
I’d say leave the format as is and you don’t need to edit anything more. Don’t need to skip the game loading, it keeps the video feeling like a continual thing. I liked it as it was.
The stakes are pretty tame for you I have to admit. I’d expect your sorts of vids to be 5 – 10 quid per feature, but if you plan on doing it every day I can appreciate why you’d want to cool the heels on stakes. Whilst I’m actually very happy to not see the usual 40 quid spin madness you had before, a 2-3 quid per feature video kinda isn’t what I’d expect of a ‘bandit’ video either.
All said though, this video was good.
The format is great and doesn’t need changing.
Very glad to see you back posting videos Steven and I’m really looking forward to the next one.
Nice one.
