12th October 2021 at 7:48 am in reply to: Warning for building gold bars on royal mint or hearts on lil devil #111034
So had around 30 gold bars built up on royal mint at videoslots returned after a week or so to find they were gone and have been told theres nothing that can be done based on the malfunction voids all winnings warning
Had only around 3 hearts on lil devil but same thing there gone to
So just a warning for people that like to build these up
When any form of bonus progression disappears, it’s usually means the game has been updated
And he isn’t a man that comes from money, he was in one dead end job to another before this nonsense!I’m pretty sure in one video he mentioned he was living at home with his mum.
in all honesty, i’m pretty sure he’s not playing with fake money – they were just bonus whoring originally, which in the long term (assuming bonuses were all +EV) generates profit. Pretty sure him and old 2 skodas put their profits together to start doing this on the side
The majority of the times he streams, he nearly always has a bonus attached, which will most likely be +EV and he will almost certainly have bonuses you don’t see off stream.
The EV from the bonuses may well cover any losses so they would not need loads in affiliate revenue to cover wages etc… Even then, if they’re all bonus whoring offstream from the 1000s of other casinos available, it is fairly easy to live off those profits without even touching the affiliate revenue
an easy way to do that would be to provide each shop with a basic tablet that can take a customers photo, record their details and then be distributed to other shops and stored on a central database.William Hill already do this
The only way to implement this would be to have personal gambling licenses in order to bet anywhere. In land based gambling venues they would need have systems in place that require the scanning of said license in order to bet or logon to any terminals. This could easily be linked to the gamstop database and stop the person from playing. To prevent any circumvention though, all money would have to be loaded at the counter to prove you are the license holder.
Personally, wouldn’t be a fan of this as it would just get abused eventually by the government & UKGC.
In regards to SOW / affordability checks – if they were to go down the route that was proposed for online (not sure if it was passed to start in October) that can also lead to issues as well. I believe it was / is to be based upon a combination of your credit score and average salary in the area.
Rather than just restricting the crap out of everyone, perhaps they should investigate why people became addicted in the first place. While there will be multiple reasons for it, a good start might be banning the non age restricted AWPs. I know a few people who got addicted in their early teens just from playing £5 AWPs. I know one guy, who got kicked out by his parents for stealing from them and eventually it got so bad they called the cops on him. Ended up in prison for a year.
Another thing they should be looking at is (sorry Bandit) Online streamers / rev share affiliates. Rev share should be banned and only CPA should be allowed (possibly capped). I know people say bookies and casinos are evil for being predatory, but Rev share affiliates are just as bad or if not worse. Bookies / casinos will make money even if they operated correctly in regards to player protection, but rev share affiliates have a vested interest in you losing.
I don’t think it’s untoward as they share funds for a business endeavour, so they are “one account” from the POV of the business
Makes no difference (under UKGC terms, not sure bout ROI though), if anything that argument makes it worse as there is no proof of fund ownership – it’s the same as if you were a sole trader in the UK, even though everything is is your name, you still can’t use the funds to gamble with.
I’m just wondering before I make a complaint to advertising standards and the ukgc if anyone knows why these third parties his sidekicks would be allowed to use his own personal account. They’re not allowed under UKGC legislation, even if granted permission to do so. I’m surprised all of the game developers and Entain are so heavily involved with this guy anyway. There’s an old video of him (whilst still living in the UK) explaining that he’s using the other persons money to play with.
don’t think for 1 min that he’s broke or lost all his money you gotta think that trying to fund a channel for content was a great idea just not practical for the time it takes to make edit and then upload .I doubt he’s broke, but I do think he is taking time of for financial (well, business reasons).
His Power Up channel started just before the UKGC review and one of the things being discussed was affiliates. In my opinion, it is likely that revenue share models will be banned, so the reason for the power up channel was, as he stated, to generate revenue – possibly to compensate for affiliate losses after October when the new legislation comes into force. Unfortunately, with the “adult” content, persistent swearing, people using adblock, the ad revenue is going to be piss poor.
If what I think is true, it not only affects this site, but also his soccer millions site as well as that also appears to be funded by affiliate revenue.
He must be having a rethink on what to do, as if affiliate revenue gets outlawed from October, then 2 of his businesses are wiped out by the UKGC wanting to “protect” the 0.5% of the population who can’t control their actions.
Even if the Power Up channel had millions of subscribers and did generate a decent replacement income – you know what will happen next… either channels get instantly demonetized, put behind a KYC wall or banned outright for UK viewers
